Its funny I get into 5th somtimes and somtimes I don't. I know I need to. And the times I shift to 5th I am only in that gear for like a second. I was thinking of getting what Alberto got and going with the lower gears. That way I can avoid the 5th gear all together. But next time I go out there I am going to shift at a lower RPM that should put me in 5th for a longer time and give me a higher trap.
I f you shift @ 7K you shouldnt need to shift to 5th. If you are shifting at 6600 you will end up shifting to 5th right before the traps. IMO I would hold it to 7K on every gear to prevent shifting to 5th. Bottom line is shifting is time lost. Good luck your only going to get better.

hhmm.. How high does the 4th gear go? 120? So you are saying shift at 7K every gear and avoid 5th. hhmm Maybe I should raise my rev limiter to 7200. That way I have a little room to play.
Just wanted to post up a quick update. Fixed my boosting issue and maxed out 505hp and 573tq at 15psi boost. Went to the track about a month ago and did 11.76 @ 127mph 1.7 60ft
