I finally got my Z back last night after not having it for 5 months. It's an extremely long story and many thing went wrong in the process. The last and most anoying thing towards the end of the project was that the engine builder set one of the cams 180 degrees out. So only half of the cylinder were firing. That took a bit of time to figure out! Anyway I finally have it back and of course on the way home I have a Vette and a Firebird try to race me. This whole break in period is going to be pretty damn hard! Now my wait begins on the GT-K! I guess it's supposedly a good thing to have a nice long break in period.

yes I have the turbonetics kit... and figured it probably wouldn't be a good idea to throw it on the dyno immediately after the build.
I went with Arias Extreme Duty pistons, Pauter Rods, Nismo oil pump, ARP 1/2" head studs, coolant bypass mod, CJM fuel return system, RC 650cc injectors, UTEC, Turbonetics ST (soon to be the GT-K 650), Driveshaftshop Level 5 axles, JWT lightened flywheel and clutch, Volk GT-C wheels, 2-10" JL W6V2, 1-12" JL W6, JL VR componet speaker with crossovers, Alpine R doorspeakers, 2 Rockford power series amps ~2000 watts, Kenwood DDX touchscreen in dash DVD player.
That's it for now.

I held off on the cams for now. I'm mentally more than ready for the TN Stage 2 to come out and hoefully my car should be ready for it too. I'll leave the first two shops that screwed up nameless. But the shop that really hooked me up and got the car running was Andrewtech Automotive in Gaithersburg MD. I am hoping that Jermaine will do my tunning when the time comes. If not, I might be making a trip to ATL
You dont have to go into details, but why wouldnt you mention 2 potential shops that other Z owners wouldnt want to go to so they dont get "screwed"? Look forward to your numbers....
hey I saw your car at their shop last week.
You have the brickyard Z correct? They were workin on it last week and found a lot of gas in the spark plugs and such. Theyre a very top notch shop when it comes to suburus and lancers but I would trust them with my Z anyday.

That's one of the main reasons for some people to come on this board.

Yep Gooey that's my car. They really are a top notch shop. As for the other shops I guess it doesn't really matter since the one shop went out of buisness half way though the build. That shop was Chaos performance in Ocean Citty MD. I believe that they ment well, but it definately turned into one hell of a cluster f**k. I believe that Bob Hamilton the engine builder made an honest mistake and I don't want to **** about him when I think he is a pretty stand up guy who happens to have some of the best machining equipment out on the market. I am still waiting to hear back from him whether or not he is reembursing me for the work that Andrewtech had to do to fix his mess up.
yea they told me about your unfortanate circumstances. how you had it at a shop and they just closed down in the middle of yoru build. Hope everythign works out with this new shop and let us know how your car comes out! That think should be a beast after these guys are done tunin it

That's the guy you had me talk to a few times, right? Sorry to hear about the timing issue, can happen, especially without the nissan manual... oval and circle codes on the cam gears... mix those up and its all over
