VQ35 to Chevy Tranny adapter....thought somebody might like this
While I was browsing around the web for intake parts to fabricate a plenum I ran across something that some of you high hp drag racers might be interested in.....VQ35 to Chevy Auto Tranny Plate adapter.... http://www.rossmachineracing.com/vq35transadapt.html

I remember last year seeing a couple guys who had made their own.....but this is great to see. A reputable company making this stuff. The turbo 400 is ideal for the big hp applications that the VQ auto tranny's have a little difficulty with.

That is pretty freakin cool. I wonder how much money and what it would take to do this conversion. I have already rebuilt my tranny once and would like something more reliable.

1: spend a few grand setting up for drag.
2: make 20-30 passes down the track.
3: fixed things as they broke immediately and went back to the track.
With those steps employed, theres more then a few of us here who would be running those times. Its just pretty apparent that not many of us actually care much to get that timeslip - its right there waiting to be had, but who is actually reaching for it?

I briefly tossed around the idea of the chevy 4-speed tranny swap, new driveshaft, electronics issues, etc, so I doubt that a 1000$ would cover it.
