Damn! Just starting this process? You couldnt just call up Stillen and tell them to get the ball rolling, they know you had a warranty....

Needed to try to get the majority of my funds together as the warranty says that only like 3k will be covered.

What exactly do they cover? Will they buy you a new short block or give you $3000 towards what you want to do-for example if building would they give you $3000 towards a build? Any fine print saying that you have to buy parts through them if you decide to do so?

Wow, this would shed light on a huge issue if the warranty offered by Stillen isn't as comprehensive as they claim. I know a lot of people are buying these kits because they have a warranty offered with the Stage II...

Only ran this for 6 months??? How many miles and what other mods (other than what's listed in your sig)?

Kinda curious, who did the install? and was the kit ever tuned?
You think your scared, I got a TN turbo waitin to go in! ahhh **** I don't know what to do. I'm gettin worried and deffinatly second guessing.
Although it seems everyone is poppin their engine when the cold winter weather comes around. You guys seem to be forgetting that the engine leans out with the dense air, and your not-so-conservative tunes pushed to the limits (not sure how the SC tunning comes though) I was planning on having an aggressive summer map and a very conservative winter/daily map, but I just don't know anymore.

Well, Ive had my supercharger stage 3 in for exactly a month now. No problems, and I love it.

subscribing for info.

Been running stillen stage 2 for over 20k miles and a year and a half, been running stage 3 for the past few months.... never one issue other than a squeeky pulley which I fixed fairly easily.

Been running Stage 2 for about about 8mos. now. Only problem was shredding the 4-rib belt off the snout, but got that fixed with no problems since. Started hearing some light pinging under WOT right before redline, after a coupld tanks of Shell premium. Just installed the Stage 4 parts this past weekend, along with the gauges I've had sitting here for awhile. Now I can actually monitor what's going on too! Haven't heard any pinging yet, with the new SS box and fuel from other gas stations besides that particular Shell station.

i love how people chime in with "ive been running my blah blah for blah blah and no problems." well, everyone who has had motors blown had their kits running for a blah blah blah amount of time with no problems before it blew. yes you are running fine but that doesnt help if it blows tomorrow or the next day or 10 years from now and it doesnt help this guy out!

Why wouldn't it be helpful? If only those with blown motors "chime in" as you put it, it would seem like it's more common than it is. There's a reason the Stillen kits have a reputation for being the most reliable, other than marketing by the company. There are tons of people out there running various stages with assorted supporting mods...many for quite some time, and many on higher mileage motors too. I'm sure other Stillen owners would like to know that others AREN'T having problems, not to mention potential owners of the kit. Those of us that haven't had problems thus far, have probably all subscribed to this thread, even though the original poster hasn't done shit as far as updating us. Anytime you hear about a motor blowing, you can't help getting nervous. Posts by people that haven't had problems helps to ease your mind a bit. Posts from people that don't even have an FI Z/G are the pointless ones, wouldn't you say? Stick to trolling the lighting and interior forums...

If only everyone was a little more truthful. This is the only stage "2" I've read of blowing. Hopefully in the end honesty prevails, at least on the forums which serve as information for others. Plenty of 3s and modified 4s have blown.

I don't doubt it, and I'd like to hear about all those cases, and the eventual diagnosis as well. Just saying that I think most people want to hear both sides of it...more info. and experiences the better it is, collectively.
