They make the synchro's, but I'm not sure how they differ from the stock ones other than everything is supposed to be significantly stronger. Give Sam a call (late in the even our time is morning their time). I'm sure he will answer any questions that you have. He answered all of mine.

If you want his e-mail address, PM me and I'll send it to you. Otherwise, you can just send an e-mail their wb contact form on their website (like I originally did), and it will be forwarded to somebody technical who can help you, maybe even Sam.

That seems to be an all out race car, the only interior it probably has is the dash. My straigt cut box isn't near that loud in my other car. It's bearable. The fact that it's under the hood and not between the seats probably helps too.

Dog engagment works just fine on the street so long as you put the shifter where it belongs with authority and don't limp wrist it.

I'll see if I can find a video of mine.

My straight cut gears aren't unbearable either, but it would suck if I had a straight cut 5th gear, that would get annoying really quickly on the highway. Definitely glad I still have a stock 5th gear.

redline shockproof
Shcokproof is not really appropriate for transmission with synchros (if that's what yours has). Its designed more for racing transmission running dog engagement.

Redline MT-90 or AMSOIL MTG are probably the best options

just make sure whatever you put in is GL-4 and 75w-90

Then you had the right one. MT-90 is not one of redline's "shockproof" gear oils.

The shockproofs are listed here:

Synchro damage doesn't usually happen with that type of failure. My trans failed the same way and my synchros are perfect.

i think the syncro problem is becuse of my JWT clutch/flywheel..

i dont see any way to adjust the clutch.. but i think ever since i installed them and changed the oil ( did it at the same time) the gears grinded alot more!

You need to adjust the clutch pedal, the clutch probably isn't disengaging completely on shifts thus the grinding.

under the dash where the clutch master cylinder arm comes through the firewall, there is an adjustment.

What about the pivot ball? Could that also be a potential culprit for his clutch not disengaging? They do sell a stronger pivot ball appropriate in size for which ever year transmission you may have swapped over to. I think the change in size of pivot ball occurred from '05 to '06 but I could be wrong. So be careful if you swapped from an '05 or older tranny to a newer '06 or newer just make sure you are using the correct pivot ball.
Just a thought.
