What's a pivot ball?
Where did you get an "upgraded" third gear?? As far as I know the only "upgraded" gears you can get are from PAR or PPG. I'm getting my 3rd and 4th from PAR.

nono this is an upgrade from Nissan.. as we all know the 03-04 models have a weak 3rd gear.. so the new one they have now four our tranny´s is better.
this is the pivot ball

You only need a pivot ball for a stronger pressure plate,, with i dont have but i just orderd it anyway.. it cant make it worse i hope.
yes im pretty sure that it had something to do with the clutch not realising fully. it grind when i reved it and if i stod still.. clutch down and reved it then the car moved a little bit... thats when i thoght it had something to do with the engine twisting and turning and then some how giving some extra pressure on the tranny..
so i ordered a stillen engine damper..but the tranny gave up before i had it installed

What's stronger about it?? The only way it would be better is if the engagement disc on third gear is electron beam welded on instead of braised. Have you seen any of the new triple cone third gears to confirm if they have beam welding instead of braising?
Thanks for the info...

sorry but i have no info about that. The workshop just told me thats there was a bulletin on 3rd gear and the new one is an upgrade from the one that was in the car before

The only "upgrade" is from a double cone synchro to a triple cone. It helps with shifting at high rpm. It won't be any "stronger" than your old third gear though.
