Owch... Did they have the boost improperly turned up or did you turn it up? I believe i heard of an incident where a company installed TT and set the boost way too high and the same thing happened. Either way, that really sucks.

#1)Did you have the Overboost pipe kit? (was it a newer kit?)
#2) did you add mods that increase boost pressure and reduce back pressure such as exhaust, plenum?
#3) What was you A/F like on the kit?

I have noticed the spring in WG in the TN kit does spike a bit, we usually replace them with the 5psi spring to prevent spiking..otherwise you see 9-11psi spikes alot..Even with the Overboost pipe.

Sorry for the noob question, but are those our STOCK connecting rods?

I thought that's a no-no for turbo?

^^^
Agreed. Most are not so fortunate. When my rod let loose it punched a hole through the sleeve because the piston split in half and then it shot out the side of the block.

some people with TT's have actually destroyed their actual turbos where the turbine wheels were all chewed up. At least the TN kit places the turbo up and out of the way and is further away from all the force blowing up in the engine

So how much did it overboost? Was the new piping installed? What was peak pressure measured? What was the AFR?
