Default Oil in intake piping (vortech)

I checked my vortech intake piping and noticed that the inside was coated with oil. Is this normal and where is the oil coming from? I've read that it could be a broken seal in the SC? I've also noticed that my car has been bogging down when i go WOT above 3k RPM. Could this oil be causing my car to bog down? Thanks for any help.

Possibly your PCV if you are not running a catch can of some sort.

if you got oil in the IC pipes . I would think it almost has to be coming from the SC . I had it happen to me also . I found it when I was playing around with my BOV . I just happen to put my finger in the pipe when the BOV was off . You'll more than likely have it in your plenum also .. You'll need to clean both out .

How many miles on the SC? I'd doubt it was the SC though. More likely what Quamen said about the PCV or the intake tube on the air filter.

I forgot about the crank case breather hose being hooked up to the intake filter . I just let the hose hang and vent .

As far as miles on the blower...Mine had very few miles on it when the seal in the blower went bad

So if I have oil in my Intecooler piping as well as oil up to my throttle bottle. Most likely my SC seal has broken and I need to send the unit to vortech? I"m not talking about a couple of drops either. Its a good amount of oil coating the inside of the pipes.

That would be my guess . I dont think your gonna see that much oil coming from the breather hose . I cleaned all the lower pipes and the IC out , along with taking off the top of the plenum off to clean it out .
