3) And yes...video of the whole thing would be great. Remember that current newspaper. If you dont have time to show the correction..thats fine. But when I make my vid, I dont want you calling "correction factor BS" if my car makes more power than you are used to seeing at 9psi..and 15psi....so you might want to cover yourself and show the "X" factor and 1.00, and a reasonable ambient temp.

If I am wrong about your car, I will man up and say I was wrong...plain and simple. It wont be the first time I have been wrong!
Sorry Sharif, Typo..
Vids uploading, give me about 30 mins, Ill start a new thread for you..Ill link it here..Oh, and by the way, isnt the whole point of the video to show you my car is up and running fine??Not a HP competition??

Great...correct...not a HP competition...but it only takes a moment more for me to vid the setup screens. I was doing it more for you...rather than for me.

No...Start the boost map in the 70-100% load colums, start low like the value of 5 if in Closed loop boost control where it controls BCS duty cycle, and then work your way up until you hit the desired boost levels..A good way to spool up faster is the parameter "wastegate closed below", just be careful not to spike or overboost when using this.

I haven't set mine up yet, but I was going to try the open loop boost control. It seems like using the MAP sensor fedback would be a good thing.

Julain, did you guys ever try OPen Loop yet?

Have not yet..In my current set up, getting feedback to prevent overboosting was not the issue..Underboosting is more the issue with the internal wastegate design..

i think someone's terms are mixed up or I'm confused.

open loop is where you have no feedback and the values are typed in representing bcs duty cycles

closed loop, the values represent boost levels

(or very likely I need to go back and read the manual again?)

Thank you guys so much for figuring this out for us. I tried for countless hours to get my UTEC to control boost AFTER I read your original thread a long time ago about getting it to work with the older firmware. I couldn't get it to work with my APS solenoid so I took your advice and bought new solenoids (luckily I bought OEM GM solenoids, so I didn't spend $100 per solenoid like you are charging).

I then tried for a few more hours, checking, double checking, and triple checking to make sure everything was right. I figured I had to be doing something wrong since you reported it worked. I must have read that TurboXS instruction manual 100 times about how the boost controller works.

I then cleared out the boost control values, leaving 'ECU' in every slot. Everything was fine, with the exception that I had no boost controller, and then I put the car on the dyno. Thank God I had my overboost set correctly, or my motor would have been toast as my boost control solenoid opened up completely during WOT.

If you were working so closely with TurboXS you HAD to have known about this bug before you reported it. It would have been nice if you would have shared this information with the rest of us who were spending countless hours trying to get this feature to work as TurboXS claimed it did. It still amazes me that the UTEC could leave the factory with a severe bug like that.

So, TurboXS releases an updated firmware and viola the boost conroller works EXACTLY how they have claimed it works since the beginning. Great job 'figuring it out'.

Has anyone used the BCS with the APS single turbo?

Semi off topic, but is there an output of the map display to a gauge?? I was looking around but didn't see anything. I figure since the tuner can do that, I was hoping maybe the boost display could as well....

There is a hardware input that will allow you to select which map. You could use that input to drive a 7 segment LED to display which map you are currently using. Of course, if you have the external switch it tells you which map you are using.
