I thought you got more power with open dumps. Is that not true?Very rarely..... Only if you run a very restrictive exhaust like stock and try to make 800 HP. In most of our 1000-1500 RWHP supra builds we recirculate the WG.
The biggest problem with open dumps is that you cannot hear anything if a problem arises. Not to mention that it get the engine compartment and underside of the car very dirty.
A turbo motor at 20-50 psi makes a wonderful sound..... no need for it to sound like a beater with an exhaust leak.
