There is no other side, you are all drama queens with nothing better to do. Where is anyone faulting Dave? I dont see it. I see a blown engine, low oil, and a guy asking the next steps.

The other side is a lack of information and misinterpretation for this Section...

FI

F= fuggin
I =Ignorant

Also , this is not the place to post such information.

I would love to hear daves side and I truely hope it has nothing to do with "the customer drove the car hard" because if that is not the biggest cop out ever

Romey.....the "cop out" is the car had no friggin oil...with MANY witnesses. The icing on the cake is he BEAT on the car AND it came in with no oil.... SURE sign of improper maintenance.

Here....someone else do more digging and get these videos back from the depths of "private" so we can see whats really up...

A couple observations as I've been out of the loop and MIA for a little bit on here.

Yes...the car really only had about a quart and a half of oil in it. It's nice that Dave took pics and called witnesses and other techs who were around to see this.

The second issue is.....what is abuse? Driving it hard on the road? NO. B/C Dave has covered this before (actually on the first car that came out of the shop with the warranty program)...the same car that participated in the AKA rally.

Abused is what this car is. Not properly maintained and driven hard despite the recommendation for parts made by Dave. Attached is are vid of him attempting to drift someone else's car and a vid of him drifting his car (I assume)....funny how the vid titled "Tech acting a fool" is now private…..DATE posted JUNE 28th, 2009

Ok so now we know the car was low on oil and beat to death. Let me ask you this. 1. Why was the car low on oil is there a motor issue and if so why wasnt it caught before the car was boosted. Yes its the OPs fault for not checking his oil as I check my oil before and after boosting.

I love the freggin experts on here. Dave at FT is a stand up guy. Tech is young and simply posted things that were taken out of context, the entire warrantee issue is a mood point. The engine oil was low...no warrantee....lets see you drain the engine from a brand new M3 and try to get it covered under warrantee. Low on on a high boost application is neglect, and maybe that youngster didnt know all the rules of the road, but I am sure he does now. he is not fighting the issue of getting his car covered. you all are that have no invested interest nor do you plan on going to FT because you live so far away Bunch of girls I tell you. It is what it is. If I were dave I would not rake him over the coals but at this point he doesnt have to do anything becaue there is fault with low oil. I dont care if he checked it that day, low oil is low oil. The car is boosted, so it gets ran like it was booosted.

read the last post by g35keys and see what he meant.

bunch of girls~!

So there we have 2 more questions to discuss...

If the cause for a blown motor is "unknown", does the warranty still cover it?

Else if the the cause of the blown motor is "known", in this case low oil, but the cause of low oil is "unknown", does the warranty still cover it?

The way it was explained...the OP was adding a qt of oil a day and that he was not beating on the car....If My M3 was bleeding a qt a day...you d@mn right if it ran out of oil they would cover it...It shows that the car failed to begin with.

Now that Driven1 has come forth with the other side it shows how the car was driven..... and that the OP did not know much about an FI car.

If the OP was proven correct that there was oil leaking like the fuel was...because of some wrong install by Dave....you d@mn right Dave would have to cover it ...

You ever heard of someone going to one of those quick oil change shops..and the tech did not install the oil drain correctly...and the motor was damaged because of incorrect install of the nut and all the oil drain out...well the Jiffy lube paid that person.....Samething would apply to Dave if it was found that the oil drained because of incorrect install.

4shiz is FI? Maybe you have never been through **** with your stock car thats why you dont give a ****.. But most of us FI members who have been there and done that know what its like to get ****ed over..... Losing 10k+ is no joke.. So 4shiz you may want to stop being so sensitive.. Dave is a grown man he can defend himself (which he will do just fine).. Regardless we are all trying to understand his "warranty" program and why it could provide false hope to some FI newb..
