Hey guys just wondering if anyone can recommend a good clutch and flywheel combo for my car? Built sleeved motor with JWT TT700 kit. We are aiming for a few tunes 400-700 rwhp. Daily driver as well. I'm just concerned for the track when I up the power. is there any clutch that can handle this power thats under $1000? if not then thats fine. J/w. Also any mate flywheel for it? Thanks for the info guys!

Not for $1000... ATS / GTM Exedy Twin/Trip clutch and flywheel assembly would handle that load without worry, but they cost more than twice that.

Really the only clutch to consider is the ATS/Carbonetic Clutch. Formerly ATS now Carbonetic. If you are looking for 700whp then you are on the border of what a twin can handle. The triple disc will likely be the smart choice. The ATS/ Carbonetic clutches come as a flywheel/clutch pack. You can chose between 3 different weight flywheels. Lightweight, standard, and heavy each having desireable and undesirable characteristics. You can choose between 3 different clutch compunds. R compund, standard, and soft. Again each having desirable and undesireable characteristics. You also have a choice of 2 clamping forces of the pressure plate. You can get CCM coating (carbon coated metal) that significantly adds to the tourqe holding capacity of the clutch. A twin disc clutch with standard compound, 1350kg pressure plate and CCM coating can meeet your needs for 700whp. The streetablility of the carbon clutches are great. I hope this helps. I know no one talks much about Clutchmasters but they are worth a look, myself and another down here are running the FX400 which is the top single disk they make, it is a 6 puck, it is sprung so engagement is not bad and the pedal is really soft. I am just at the beginning at 554RWHP so not sure if it will hold to 700RWHP but the other guy has an APS Extreme currently at 600RWHP and goes to the drag strip with slicks and has broken diff cover and axles but the clutch still holds.

I am saying to look at them as they also make some twin disk clutches, give them a call and discuss it with them.

I have the ATS triple. It should hold 700whp easy.
I also understand the GTM/ Exedy Twin-Disk clutch should meet your goals. But Tengai is right, both will cost more then double your desired price.

Not any more they have a fx500 and 600 now and the 500 is the best clutch ive ever owned. no slips no chatter and 550 plus tq

exedy's ridiculously expensive. I only have JWT, but I've never experienced any slippage at 500whp. If I burn these out, I prolly go
with another JWT. feels pretty good.

Im having good luck with the ACT 6 puck semi street. Supposed to be rated close to 700 tq. Granted im not pushing 700 yet. Having driven BamBam's car, I can say that that clutch feels like stock, and would probably be my next clutch.

I would recommend our GTM Spec Exedy Twin-Disk Carbon clutch, this clutch can handle more power than the ATS twin disk while being very streetable and smooth.
