360whp? doesn't that put it somewhere near the Vortech for power levels?

I can only see that HKS supercharger kit being worth that much if it includes a lot of supporting mods with it..

I hope it comes with an unlocked V-Pro for that price!

C'mon, like you've never hugged a couple nuts in your life.

We'll see if my winter build changes anybody's expectations of what the kit can do. But then again, I don't have the stock Rotrex unit and I certainly paid far less than MSRP, so maybe that statement doesn't apply to me.

But if it did, at least have the decency to stand on a box so you can say it to my face and not at my nipple.

hks has always been one of the best of power and reliability balance. HKS hasn't really been a peak hp producer but you can use it as a DD and still be fine. Many other kits you will hear about failures or something breaking but most of the HKS owners out there with proper installs have driven quite reliably with their vehicles. HKS is FREAKIN expensive but if I had the dough I'd get it. Much like how some people spend cha ching on moton suspensions

Hence your comment being a bit pathetic.
Your thinking is pathetic. Regardless of what kit you choose you need to find a good tuner. You relying on a base map-weather its Stillen and their locked down SS box or HKS and their maps you should tune the kit for your car/mods/climate.

+1

The biggest problem with the first HKS unit was you couldn't add any mods to it. The base map would go haywire. No tune-a-bility= No sale

I agree, but that simply isn't a luxury i can get. Hence i need to go with the most reliable setup out there. And from what i understand, HKS has always been reliable and conservative. To me that means peace of mind. Do you get where i'm coming from.

An AWD launch doesn't mean it's a "faster" car.

And if you think about the price, that is installed, so your probably looking at 6-7 grand MSRP for the kit, but just like the previous one, which also had an MSRP of about 7 grand, you could find for around 5300, which isn't that expensive at all.

From what I know, leaving the engine NA is the most reliable way to go!

Thank you.

Yes leaving the car stock is the safest way to go, but wheres the fun in that. What i mean is that as far as risks go, going with the HKS would be the lowest, but you already knew that, right?

The reason why people spend 7K +, is becuase they care about speed and 1/4 times. If that werent the case, then why not just bolt on the basics and call it a day?

My previous kit was the PE kit. I slapped that son of a btch on and drove it for over 10k miles without any issues. This was also on the stock ecu(dont recommend it) and 12psi of boost.

Or in my case, i just want the car to be able to do 300+ kph on a very nice stretch of un-monitored motorway near where i live.

Why would the second fastest production car in the world use twin Rotrex superchargers then?

I was sold on the HKS Supercharger when it came out in '04. Financially, I'm a little better off now, and definitely interested in version 2.
