Don't know if I would quite go that far saying they just throw parts together. Not knocking the CJM setup, but the APS setup is a quality piece

the reason i like the extreme kit is because you get the fuel system with it and the bigger turbos... and once you decide to build your set! for going big!

if i could do it all over thats what i would do. aps extreme kit and a fcon/aem and be a happy camper

you heard wrong.. and if thats youl reason for going with an APS Kit over other kits.. you need to do more research..

APS has the most COMPLETE TT Kit.. not the BEST.. so if you are buying a Tuner kit.. its no longer the best option

actually i take that back.. the quality of the APS kit is top notch... but you should never discredit the other kits because of that..

So go with a tuner kit, drive 17-18hrs to GT Motorsports and have them install and tune it. Or get it transported, you won't be sorry.

And what power level are you all looking at? More than 700 whp? Most of the standard kits (Greddy, JWT 700bb tuner, APS tuner) will take you to 600 whp range.

Unless you have an AWD skyline tranny, is there really a practical reason for more power in a street car?

The APS Extreme is a good value because of the bundled fuel system and a few other nice upgrades I'll admit

:0/ A great shop near my house carbconn has installed many aps tt's without any problems as of yet on any of the cars, so I think I will just stick with them and save myself the trip.

fit and finish.. its the best.. out of the box.. its the most complete.. i won't argue those facts..

but to me the best bang for the buck right now is a Greddy TT Kit w/ UTEC. This is just my personal opinion.

I wouldn't even buy a standard APS TT Kit anymore.. if it were going to be an APS Kit.. go with the Extreme as stated before.

1) Standard APS TT Kits come with internal wastegates
2) Standard APS TT Kits are limited to a little over 600 whp (yes we all say who the hell needs more than that.. but then we get to that point and say.. **** i want more than 600 whp)
3) Standard APS TT Kits are not the best bang for the buck

You'll be at around $9K+ for the tuner kit, fuel and ems for growth potential or $8K for the limited potential full kit plus installation and tuning.

So Doug, what about the JWB 700bb + UTEC + CJM?

I think the price differential would be only around $1-1.5k max.

ForgedPerformance offered me the JWT 700bb tuner kit for the exact same price as the JWT 530BB full kit. So I went with the tuner kit because I wanted the UTEC anyway. Pretty good value right there...
