Default So, with the APS TT what is the max hp potential?

So I am debating between the APS tuner kit and the APS TT Standard kit, which includes everythign including injectors and engine management.

So my question is: what are the potential gains are for the standard kit. I believe the injectors are 440cc so that will probably limit me to ~400whp correct?

Thanks a lot!

In terms of power, both kits will be identical. As you mentionied, the tuner kit comes with everything except for the engine computer, and fuel system. Most people agree that the Unichip included with the APS kit is very limiting, especially when you run larger injectors, so you will probably want to upgrade to at least a UTEC.
With the standard kit, and Unichip, the most I have seen posted is about 500whp on a DynoPak and that was pushing it.

With what is supplied with the standard kit, on a stock block, you should be able to get to 500 or slightly more. With a lowered compression build, you will be limited to mid 400's. You are limited by the fuel system and then by the EMS. If you go with larger injectors to make more power you will basically be forced to run a new EMS. If you have plans for a build, get the tuner kit and IMHO, run the APS extreme fuel system and Fcon

Well, the shop near my house is a unichip tuner, basically the only one I know of in the state, not sure if that matters tuning wise. It really depends on the price, I had a good price on the tuner kit but looks like that fell thru... so as of now... I dont know what to do.

I found the standard complete kit for 6500 + shipping, wonder if I should just go single turbo.... :0/ so unsure now...

You need to figure out your budget first...go with the the standard APS TT or ST if you plan on staying in or around the 400whp mark. If you think you'll want more hp in the future, go with the APS TT tuner kit and the FCON/UTEC & Extreme Fuel now if you can afford it. All I can tell you is, I wish I would of went with the tuner kit first.

you just make sure you buy it from an authorized dealer or you won't get any help with your warranty work

doesn't have to be local.. but you must get it from an authorized dealer.. not sure if it needs to be installed by an authorized installer though

jining if you are only budgeted at 7.5k i would not even consider F/I because i garuntee you will go well over that within a year.

the stock motor will go at one point or another. and the extreme kit comes with a great fuel system and bigget turbos.

if you are truelly trying to save money then maybe a vortech is right for you or maybe looke into the greddy twin turbo kit speacials that Forged is running..

If you don't think you can afford to build the motor in the next 2 years or more, just go with a the ST or TT standard kit and be done with it. If you think you'll be able to build within a year, save for the build and do it all at once.

I could afford to build right now but I really cant justify dropping 20k on my car right now... im going to run it on the stock block and meanwhile buy a block and build it slowly.

jury is out on that one.. you will get 10 million answers.. but i would rather run a CJM system than an APS .. Charles knows his **** and does tons of research .. APS just seems to throw parts together and hope it works great

Depends on who you ask Both would be more than enough for your needs

If you are looking for an APS kit, call GRD. They are one of the biggest, if not the biggest stocking dealer in the US. If a kit is in the country, there is a good chance, it came through them.

Call and ask for Irshad (630)369-2800 - tell him the farmer referred you
