My FI days are almost over :(!!!
My girlfriend just blew up her engine in her s2000 (42k miles and 1 month out of warranty). So, regretably to help with her huge repair bill my parts and or car is now for sale!!!
Sucks real bad. So if anyone has stock parts and would like to buy and trade, I will be offering a huge discount .
Also, I have very much enjoyed the FI forum over the last 2 years or so, and if anyone wants to donate to my cause (paypal craiglangford@yahoo.com), feel free it looks like I am going to need it.
I wish things were different, I actually had to give up a killer engine from Todd @ built Z motors, literally the day that I was going to get a cashier's check for the engine, my girlfriend blew her engine!!!
Anyway
Craig
***Also, if anyone is interested I will sell my car for 23k as it sits. Nothing but a burnt powersteering line needs to be replaced***!!!

Also, it was her dream car, and she has only had it 2 months!!! I have dated her like 3 years too, kind of obligated

Dude, find another way. Get a loan or something!!!!
DO NOT SELL YOUR Z OR ITS PARTS!!!!!
You will end-up regretting it in the future when you realise you had other options!!!! Consider all angles before committing!!!!!

Just trade in the S2k - get the best deal you can and keep making payments.
You'll take too big a hit parting out your Z. It doesn't make business sense unless you want to get rid of the Z...
Good luck whatever you decide!

My fiance has a turbo charged tC. It's limping right now, so we don't drive it. Instead, we car pool until the funds become available for the built motor. If the Z goes down, we car pool in the tC. We have a 3rd car as well (beater, baby carrier), that we use for car pooling as well. But selling my car, or her car to repair the other is ......FAR.....from being an option.
Good luck to you though.

You'll spend more money trying to sell your parts and returning it to stock . Buy her a beater till you can afford to fix her motor .You will spend about the same money and be able to keep your car as is . She is the one that blew her car up . WHy should you suffer for her mistake . Let her suffer by driving the beater for a while

Why would someone do this?
Tell her to get a job and take responsibility for her own actions...
I personally stay away from women that would ever make these kinds of demands. Probably the reason I'm single right now...

I wanted to say that too but I guess the nice guy came out instead.
I feel the same way, ultimately: responcibility for your own actions.
Look at it this way: If she TRULY loved you, she would NOT make you do this to your Z.
Taurran, keep doin what you doin'!
