For about 3 months I thought I had a severe boost leak because my utec would never show boost higher than 7.5 psi. Well after eliminating every boost leak my stupid a$$ looks at the dashboard on the UTEC with the car off... the map sensor is reading -1 psi just sitting in open air... so I guess I was hitting 8.5 psi the whole time.
Anyways I have the parameters set to Absolute and it reads -1 psi. when i have it set to Gauge it reads +19.4 psi... I dont know if my sensor is faulty or if it is supposed to be like this. I used the calibration card to calibrate it in the parameters, but im not sure if i should toy with it or get another map sensor.
Any input?

it has the 2.8 software, and no I havent referenced it with a boost gauge. I just dont understand why it would read -1 psi with the car off

soooo, I just called TurboXS and Jermaine said that -1psi sitting with the car off is normal, which I think is bs. Usually they are pretty good at helping me out but this time they had no interest. He told me to just play with the calibration numbers or something

did you ever get this taken care of as I have the exact same problem. My txs map sensor is constantly reading -1 psi less than what it is supposed to be. I need it to be accurate as I took out my boost gauge and was planning on just using the map sensor to display my boost on my car pc screen.

My utec says +.4 (absolute) when the car is off. I have not calibrated the map sensor though.
Which brings me to my question:
How do you use the map sensor calibration card to enter the values into the utec? For example, my calibration card states:
PSI Output
Cal 1 input: 1176 Cal 1 output: 7.13
Cal 2 input: 1725 Cal 2 output: 20.18
BAR Pressure Output
Cal 1 input: 875 Cal 1 output: 0.00
Cal 2 input: 1485 Cal 2 output: 1.00
So my question is how do these figures translate into the between 1 and 300 values that the utec wants you to enter for map calibration? The only thing I could think of was for the PSI numbers to divide input by output, because both of those would result in numbers between 1-300... But this is just a guess.

I would also like to know, since my used MAP sensor didn't come with a card, and the settings on the UTEC are the default settings from the manual.
Intercept must be the value for 0 psi, and gradient is the rate by which the value will increase per a certain increase of boost - hmmm, yeah, not much information included to determine this. Hopefully someone knows.

350Z UTEC Intercept 179
What can I say, I'm good with numbers.....
Actually, TurboXS provides a MAP calibration spreadsheet that you can enter the information in and it will spit out the calibration. I'm not sure why they can't just put the actual UTEC info on the calibration card.
