Maybe you could try to work with those programs that allow you to apply certain boost to each gear or something like that.

maybe something like 5 psi 1st gear, 9 psi. 2nd gear, full boost 3rd gear and on, or something like that.
These slicks are capable of hooking me up, I was not warming them up enough and launching wayyy to aggressively. I dont like the part throttle the UTEC provides at 13+ psi, it hiccups slightly more than it did when I was tuned @ 9psi. WOT its fine...

could you shift gears while you are doing your burnout (do you have "roll control"?) most of my friends when they heat their tires up are doing burnouts through their top gear. probably your equivalent of 3rd or 4th? (spinning them at over 100 mph)

definitely looks like you are launching way too hard. when you were launching in your ST days it looked alot less aggressive. but like you said, the slicks should have no problems holding for you. I've seen people use MT ET streets and do 9.60's on 10" wide slicks.

I dont get satisfaction out of running a built car on street tires and running 12's with 500+whp-thats just stupid, who shows up to a gun fight with a knife? I do it one time, I do it right.

Don't start crying Alberto - just having some fun and I could care less if I win or lose, I DO THIS FOR FUN! Either way, I will race you and couldn't care less about ego... I was more than happy with my times, and based on your vids, they look a bit better than your runs on SLICKS!

IIRC you ran low 12's? You def got beat with me off the gas about 4X-but whatever floats your boat I do it for fun, but there is a big difference between me and you. I race my car HARD, so it is not worth my time or $$$ to run my car unless its for a good time and going 100%. I could spin down the track on street tires and run 12's all day long AND not break but what fun is that? Different strokes for different folks...

I usually do them in 2nd gear, but have trouble holding the car straight right outside the water box in 2nd. I can do 1st gear all day at redline but its not fast enough to REALLY heat them up. Next time, I'll have a much more conservative approach and work up, instead of going all out off the bat.

I had a total of three runs with the car, 12.9 (first run) 12.6 (second run) & 12.3 (third run), definitely would have been in the 11's with another run or two - my traps were ~120mph. I was on street tires, track wasn't prepped and it was pretty fun spinning them down the track, I had a BLAST! I was at 15psi, 460whp DD...

Im not knocking your ET (you were on street tires), but did you just say you trapped 120mph or less? And why so low power at 15psi? Sharif tuned you or did Julian, I cant keep up with all the builds...

If I had that kind of wobble. I don't think I would be scared of losing ... I'd be scared of driving it into the wall. Or even worse, driving it into the car next to me.

I'm just playing around, when you dish it out for so long, you better be prepared to get it back once in awhile...

have you thought about getting a line lock so that you lock your front two brakes up so that the rears are free to spin? also, if you are having trouble keeping your car straight, you could have someone guide you into the water box to make sure you get both tires wet and then are lined up right for a burnout. would shifting from 2nd to 3rd while you are doing your burnout mess up your tranny?

(2nd gear means you are spinning around 60 mph or so?) i was doing 2nd gear burnouts in my drag radials, still wasn't enough to smoke them and get them hot enough to hold traction.
