I'm going to try and help you guys out that have been waiting for the Julian-Alberto race.I will be racing tonight at Bradenton here in Florida and I have a little grudge match with another member.

My car: APS TT-stock block-35 shot-D/R's- 5AT w/VB&TC-460whp
BRINGIT's car: Greddy TT-stock block-35 shot-D/R's-6speed-450whp(I think)

Im 90% comming there..Were doing some last minute changes to the car, and wont have a chance to really test em out..I thik Im gona run Drag Radials for the race.

 

Julian..coming where? To race Alberto in MD or are you coming to Florida.

I was able to get to the track last night and race BRINGIT (Shane) and he got me by 1/2 a car. I ran a 11.88 @116...He R/T'ed me. I was building my RPM's up and when I staged I wasn't paying attention to the tree and was looking at my gauge...I should no better, oh well next time...

Proof that there is more to drag racing than making power.

 

Since Shane has run a 11.7 in the past I guess he won't mind me saying that he ran a 12.07 on that run. I had the better ET and trap but he got me on the light. Snooze you lose...I won't ever let that happen again!!

 

I thought they didn't include your R/T in the E/T

 

what kind of 60' times are you geting coach? How are you launching the car?

 

R/T has nothing to do with your E/T but in this case it had everything to do with me losing even though I had a better E/T and trap. I am usually very consistant with 1.7 60's, and once I spray the N20 at the launch I should be in the low 1.6's... I will be launching from now on ON the spray at 3k which is right at boost.

 

Wow this is something I think we all can't wait to see lol. I be online waiting for the videos to be posted.

 

Instead of being a smart a$$ why don't you bring your car to Bradenton on the 30th and show us what you got..lol

Well,
I must say, we changed the game plan of what we are running.
we are equiping the car with a Turbo400 with a FULLY manual Valve body.
We will be running Drag Radials and not full slicks. However this will be our first track run with the car and the set up so dont expect great times out of us at all..If Alberto does not want to race an Auto and it will not be considered a street car, then we will understand and simply run for fun..

 

LOL-how did I know you had that one up your sleeve? I want to run 6mt's but we'll see what we can come up with...
