THESE are the customer EXPERIENCES that I feel I SHOULD KNOW about before choosing a shop. That is why I have chosen to take my car to who I've already contacted regarding getting my kit tuned and have 100% faith in its reliability. WITHOUT the nuthugging, I would have no idea who would make my car safe, reliable, and POWERFUL all at the same time.

Nuthuggers who don't work for the shop or benefit in ANY way from praising a shop... thank you.

FWIW - I think that sharing any opportunity you've had with a shop, part, etc. is beneficial for the entire community. If you congratulate an individual or shop about a particular build / project, why does that qualify as nuthugging? Although some may be a little more enthusiastic about backing up their shop, for the most part I wouldn't call it overboard here. The FI section is known for being treacherous. One day you're on top, the next day your name is mud. Then there is the rare comeback move seen by only a few... It's about truly keeping the shine going, and as far as I know, only a handful have managed that feat. So why not give credit where credit is due? Even when it’s been said before, it never hurts to notice the accomplishments of others so that people new to the forums know what’s going on.

Just my

Not only are you receiving calls throughout the day, but you're interacting with people online from different states and even countries. Props for shops! Props for shops!

As long as there are shops, there is awlays going to be nut huggers, especialy if your shop takes care of you. I'll tell you my shop takes care of me really good! So I guess I am a nut hugger. ForgedPerformance Nuthugger!

One day when you spend enough money on your car to buy a nice double wide. You better pray you'll have a shop to "Nut hug"

I'd rather hear unbiased opinions from customers of different shops.

Addressing the issue of "installing the same kit". One shop can do an amazing job at it while another does it sh*tty. I'd like to hear what shops are the good, high quality ones before I decide where to bring my car.

Conclusion... OP is a d0uchebag

I think if a guy or gal is happy with a shop that did a build or work on thier car and comes on this forum to tell people...thats great !
BUT
I dont really agree with shops coming on the forum and hugging thier own nuts . IT CAN lead to customers getting ripped off and burned for lots of cash . Take VRT and one of this forums major sponsors as the examples .

Leave it to the customers and members of this forum to decide who gets praises and nut hugs . Shops coming to the forum and patting them selves on the back doesnt sit to well with me . I always believed in the old fashioned way of doing buisness......by the work you do ! and word of mouth !

+1000.....geeze. She is a professional....please treat her as such.

The internet has transformed every business on the planet. No longer do companies operate in a local vaccum. News spread internationally in a nanosecond...the good..the bad...and the ugly. This transparency, IMHO, make ALL shops try to become better at what they do, knowing that the invisible hand of the blogosphere is watching their every move.

When people are happy with the work we do, they post. We don't pay them, compensate them..or anything. In the end, we are only as good as the LAST project we completed, so we are never complacent.

And Fairlady, you brought up a valid point, but the truth is...with so many engine blow ups, poor service threads, and other things...it really IS an accomplishment when someone has a good experience at a particular shop. The good shops make it look easy, but I can assure you, it is incredibly challenging to pull this off day after day, with very consistent results.

if you think there's too much nut-hugging in the FI section, you've obviously never been to the Mid-A section.
