The internet has transformed every business on the planet. No longer do companies operate in a local vaccum. News spread internationally in a nanosecond...the good..the bad...and the ugly. This transparency, IMHO, make ALL shops try to become better at what they do, knowing that the invisible hand of the blogosphere is watching their every move.
When people are happy with the work we do, they post. We don't pay them, compensate them..or anything. In the end, we are only as good as the LAST project we completed, so we are never complacent.
And Fairlady, you brought up a valid point, but the truth is...with so many engine blow ups, poor service threads, and other things...it really IS an accomplishment when someone has a good experience at a particular shop. The good shops make it look easy, but I can assure you, it is incredibly challenging to pull this off day after day, with very consistent results.

First of all, this forum is all about feedback, including sharing one's experiences and opinions about shops. Just because someone (especially a satisfied customer) decides to add positive feedback on a thread and post something positive about a shop, doesn't automatically make them a nut hugger.
Second, I agree that volume of work doesn't by itself necessarily make a shop knowledgable or "good" at what they do. There are many other factors to consider when choosing a shop. However, I personally would not have confidence in a shop that doesn't have significant prior experience working on the Z/G platform, VQ motors, and the aftermarket parts available.
Lastly, if you took enough time to really research before starting this thread, you would have seen that there has been a lot of innovation and custom fabrication being done in the Z/G community within the past year. Here are some examples:
1) GTM producing their own stroker kits and cams, fabbing a transmission swap, and building a G37 coupe before most have seen one on dealer lots.

FairladyFever....
If it were not for the "Nuthuggers" I would have ended up in the wrong shop...like some of you on here!!! I would have been crying like a Biaaatch right now instead of ear to ear smiles.
So like Eagletanggreen....I too will join the Forgedperformance Nuthuggers Fan Club.
FairladyFever...your post has some validity....you just did not phrase it correctly. The post about VRT is a prime example of what you were trying to get across....the nuthugger fan club of VRT helped with hurting alot of Z/G owners by covering up alot of the wrong doings.
I pledge that the ForgedPerformance Nuthuggers Fan Club will help in anyway to make your experience with ForgedPerformance a good one

BUT
Coming on the forum posting about every install and tune they do......just to say.....look at what we did....over and over every day is getting old . And as one shop does it...the other shops feel the need to do the same . So now the F/I forum is almost being over taken by shops posting about the work they did that day ....every day . Let the customer do the praising !!!
