do you have to use distilled water?

my water temps have settled down and range from 185-220. Isn't 220 a little on the hot side??

we have been playing with this a lot lately. being in florida, it is very important due to the hot days we have here over half the year.

at first we decided to run , 90 distilled water, 10 coolant and some water wetter from Redline. we noticed that the levels were cooler on the dyno BUT in the real world, a 50/50 mix of coolant / distilled water actually kept it cooler on the street.

also, adding a nice GTM or FP fan shroud really can do wonders!! that is an unbiased opinion right there from another shop owner.

this needs to be added to every high hp twin turbo vehicle, especially if your turbos are water cooled...

I have the FP fan/shroud, on the street my temps never go over 180 degrees on a 103 degree day. I am tracking the car next week so i'll let you know how the temps go.
