For me, having an all around great car is more satisfying that a straight line car. My suspension (14k/14k) is horrible for drag racing-I get minimal squat which affects the launch, my car is "heavy", stock tranny, etc. Id rather have a 10.9 sec all around car than a 10.2 car that is gutted, feels like Im driving a tin can, has a fuel cell, etc. BUT I get your point, if I put my car on a serious diet, did a RACE gas 19psi tune AND sprayed it would be one nasty ****...next year I'll be doing 2 of those 3

btw-no issues with the tranny lift shifting, Im loving it, we'll see how much longer it holds up...

Congrats Bert and much better this time....to all those who want to drag race, when you watch the vid, right before he launches watch how he rolls into the staging light right before he launches.Thats an old trick but very affective for your 60's..Its called a deep stage. Great Job from start to finish....

Thanks Julian-that launch felt to good to let off man! Let me say once again thank you for your "contribution" towards our track day, it helped pay for 3 hours worth of lighting!

I have an idea on what it will weigh. With Greddy TT, 11.5lb battery, no pass seat, slicks out back, all crap gutted in the back it weighed 3280lbs WITHOUT me last fall. Now the car has pass seat in, stock battery, all the panels, extra stuff in it, even floor mats and trunk mat that I had pulled out last time, I removed NOTHING only swapped tires.

Id guess 3350lbs if not more. So approx 3550lbs with me in it, as soon as I get near scales I'll hop on. I also NEED to run with more gas than Id like thanks to stupid TN canister mod starving of gas at 1/4 tank or less...I'll consider coming up to NJ, but to be honest Id prefer to have a trailer in case anything breaks and I dont have one-but am looking into one. We will get on a track one day man.

ajcool2-Capitol is my last choice cuz I know some people there and dislike most of them-AND I dont like locals that I mess with at meets/the "races" to know what I run. Of course some of them do come on this site but whatever...plus they are strict with roll bars.

coach-once again THANKS for advice...
