yeah man, i wish we could have ran some nitrous in his car off the line, we didnt have time though.

i cant wait to see you run high 10s though bert, it shouldnt be hard.

remember though, 11.1 to 10.9 is a LONG way at the same power levels

didn't you call 11.2 @ 126 going into this? Surprised you didn't point that out already

why do you call keep saying the 350z and G are heavy? They weight a little under 3k right?

Oh and keep the car a street car. So what if they kick you out, just go to another track.

Damn...I can't wait to see what your times will be when you stay in it all the way. You're my motivation to go for 11s with a Turbonetics kit....but on a heavy G

Not really...If he uses skinnies and full slicks and guts his car, he is there..
Remembr, your 10.9's were on a gutted car, with a fuel cell..You told me your car weighed in at 2900lbs a while back.Plus you sprayed at the top of the track to pull a 10.9. When you take all of those variables into account, Albeto is actually closer to a 10.9 than you think.
In fact if you look at one of my best times, 11.3@124 on low boost with a 1.6 60 ft. My car at the time was running DR's and fat a$$ 19"s up front with a half tank of gas. When I went on the scales after that run, my car weiged 3680 with me in it, Im 280lbs.
I honestly joke about being a bad driver, but you guys dont give me the credit I deserve.I cut NASTY RT's and drive pretty good when my ghey a$$ 6mt coperates..I was roasting clutches and grinding gears 3rd, then 5th.
I wish I could have made it, I think I would have gave Berto a good run for his money..

I disagree, I let off and got back on the gas slowly in 3rd (and an acceptable launch) and still ran 11.1...I dont need to gut my car to run 10's in LOW boost, time will prove you wrong.

yes, but we are talking about 2 years ago. of course the cars will progress with time. thats how it goes.

not taking anything away from what you have done, you just keep explaining stuff that is directed at my car. my car had a street full disk RPS clutch in it.

for the record, i was not spraying on a lot of my 10 second passes, actually just the last two and it worked my clutch even worse. last run i had i went 10.8 at 122 cause i let off in 4th gear. also i trapped 130 on low boost as well. just my low boost was around mid 14.5 psi, the clutch simply wouldnt hold any more power

my car would have went low 10s ALL day long with a good clutch, i was just missing that in the equation.

remember, if it pulls up next to you on the street, its a street car. my car is about to be a REAL street car too, everything is going back in it. Hell, i will put a 600 pound weight in the back of it just for ya...

Congrats Bert...and superb driving to keep that thing pointing straight. Extracting best time from progressively higher boost levels is a sane strategy, regardless of 1/4 or circuit tracking. Perfect the driver first, then add power later. And you are getting pretty darn close to 10's with relatively low power levels, and a heavy car...compared to what others needed to accomplish the same thing. Nice work!!

And it's nice to see more Forged owners tracking their cars.

What kind of slicks are you running??? Im sorry but it doesnt seem right for you to not have traction the almost the whole way down the track with low boost. I saw a Z catch traction halfway through 2nd with the same power levels as your Z with a built motor and Greddy twins with 20% tread left on his t1rs.

He didnt lose traction, his car was pulling to the left, not a traction issue (not wheel spin).

Very impressive driving Bert, you definitely have 10 second car, no question. Once you perfect your driving skills you will be there for sure. Congrats on the new time!

thats what I said when he ran the second time I thought he was going to hit the cones. everyone that was there knew he let off big time and still ran those numbers. No doubt this man will be all up in the 10's.
