You never updated this, how did you do?

Tracks are closed here, season is over, my car is going under the "knife" shortly. I had 2 vacumm T's disentegrate in one day so actually right now the car is sitting in the garage mad at me for not fixing it. In these cold temps driving my Z is a death wish.

Alberto any tips for a newbie?
If you'll accept my tip: lose the street tires. Get some cheap 17" wheels and put even a MT ET Street Radial on them. I couldn't believe how much I heard the domestic boys bitc*ing about how the street-tire crew was sucking up all the stick in the launch box. Plus, the sticky tires will help you 60' dramatically, which will give you double-return on your ET.

+1 400+whp and above isnt FUN until you come out of the hole properly. Only way to do that is to run good tires...

Problem with comming out TOO hard is breaking axles, and oil pumps..ect..ect.. The launch control was fun at 6000rpms and 6psi of boost for the 3 runs it lasted us..

Launch control isnt necessary for MOST people. Of all places, I finally broke an axle on the street hitting 2nd gear. Id rather launch with boost + small shot than killing the turbos with launch control.
