If you ever talk to Jim on the phone you will quickly learn that he knows his **** and probably knows it better then any person on this forum. Having a cam that benefits in NA and FI is not really that hard to comprehend unless you are stuck in the old days of pushrods and old technology. You can see on dynos that people do actually gain usable power from JWT cams in FI and NA applications. I would highly doubt that JWT would produce and recommend a cam in an application where it would be more detrimental then helpful.

GSC offers cams? I called them a few months ago after seeing how well their supra cams did, and they told me they do not plan on producing a cam for the vq35

I understand what vader007 is saying and also understand what others are saying. With the relative efficiency and better engine mgmt of modern day cars, I think it is possible to have a cam suitable for typical NA and FI duty. But what vader007 is saying is correct, and I don't think anyone would disagree, the further away from "typical" you get, the more specific the cam requirements become

Agreed.

An FI specific cam, if engineered correctly, should be a better fit. Thats not to say the NA/FI cam wont do well tho.

You dont have to "reveal" your local connection.......
But you do have to reveal the prices for the stage 2 & stage 3 cams.

Julian...when they cut the knife edge on the crank, you lose some crank
material...so did they add mallory to bring the crank back into balance?

Just figured we would update this thread with a useless bump..The new BC 3 Cams are in the motor and the motor is going in the car today, and should be running by Monday.

After break in, we will have a viable JWT S1 vs GTM Turbo Cam vs BC2 VS BC3 cams comparison for all to make on my motor. i will post and compare several dyno files overlayed from the different set ups.

The motor were using the BC3's on is the same motor we been using for a while, non sleeved, CP pistons, ACL bearings, ARP L19, HKS headgaskets, HeadGames heads with standard sized Ferrea valves. The only difference in this set up will be a Knife edged crank.

We freshened up the motor with a new set of pistons and rings, but other than that its the same motor we been testing on for a while..4 years.

When we are done i will update this thread and start a new one dedicated to the testing..

I'm right there with you. I just started my car last night with BC 272's. Hope to have it broken in and dynoed on low boost today. Excited to see what the cams will do.

As for "sound nice", I still get no "camming" - car sounds stock.
