Default Zivman, Richie, and GRD....The ReBuild is finally complete

My rebuild has finally come to an end as I was able to get my final tune done yesterday. It was a long day and the 400 mile drive home was more than brutal. though the car made it through the trip and tune without any notable issues, and I had time to meet up with some of the chicagoZ locals that I see and chat with on the boards.

My car was down since early June and while it feels like a ton of time, I see other on these boards with build that started before me still working on theirs, so relatively speaking, the timing wasn't too bad.

All the work, except the tune was done local to me:
-Local Machine shop did the machine work and shortblock assembly
-A local friend and mechanic did the majority of the work from pulling the motor, to dissambly, to full assembly of the long block, to putting the motor back in the car and trouble shooting - Richie, you are the man!
-Tuan at GRD finished it up yesterday with the tune.

Please ignore the anomalies on the charts as the dyno was putting those in for whatever reason - These numbers are based on 15 psi max boost with a very slight taper to redline (less than 1 psi of taper).

Specs on the motor:
GTM Arias ED pistons 9:1
GTM FI cams - Stage 1
Eagle Rods
No head work
L19 head studs
HKS head gaskets
APS base TT conversion
APS 3.5" test pipes
APS 2.5" exhaust - yes you can make good power without the noisy 3"!
APS Xtreme fuel system
all tuned on the Fcon Vpro

its that on a dynapack? that 2.5 exhaust gave you more tq in the mid-range. Very nice graph

Any pics of the car and setup?

Yes, a dynopac (GRD's dyno in Chicago)

my car has been around for a long while - some recent pics I have though:

Great results, I'm sure it's fun. I think that 2.5" true dual setup is great for those power levels. People have a tendency to go a bit overboard on here.

I'd be interested in seeing what the tq curve looks like on a dynojet.

edit - westpak beat me to it.

Congrats on getting the car back. Better get out and enjoy it as much as possible before you have to put it away for the winter.

I can't wait to get mine back. It been 3 months and it feels like a year. I sitll have to January since I had to rebuild again as well. This will be my 3rd built motor. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm, if not I am going the LSx TT route like Noah.

Thanks for the kind words.

Sharif, thanks for coming through with the clutch hardware.

Gus, thanks for the advise on the idle issues - Tuan did take care of the loppy idle, though he did have to spend a little extra time with my car.

Brian, Yes, I just missed you. Hope everything is perfect with your setup. I know it has been a long time without your car.

Congrats on the build. Very nice to see a dual 2.5" exhaust supporting this kind of power - thanks for posting.
