Default Anybody rebuild their own Vortech?

Just wondering if anyone has done this. I've seen rebuild kits available for around $125

I dont think its all that tough unless its totally messed up inside. Most of the time its the bearings that go bad and I think u can find a local shop (rebuilt turbo experts) to put them in... just make sure u find a place that will warranty the work if it goes south.

Quote from superchargerrebuilds.com which is local to me.

"Just 2-3 business days. $450 for ABEC-5 rated bearings (OK for less than
10 psi), and $600 for ABEC-7 (if running over 10 psi) rated bearings,
these are used by the factory."
