Buy one and try it then. It will take some doing to get it to work properly but if you get the right spring you can definitly do it.

I think I might give it a shot. Where can I get a lighter spring?

if u buy a lighter spring it might not hold boost... im not trying to sound like a dick but here it goes:

if you want the wiseling sound of a BOV, shop around for wistles that makes the sound you desire and jimmy rig it to the outlet of the bypass valve.

yea man im not trying to dick you around, but yea i never heared or know it can be done. all i know is that you can get other BPV that are bigger and they sound diferent but all are wooshing sound..

this is because the valve is OPEN all the time in a soopercharger setup b/c the blower blowes more air then required by the engine so it escapes trought the BPV. then when you go into boost the BPV closes so you can build it up. and it opens up to release excess pressure.

but in a turbo setup there is no excess air in the system and the BOV stays closed all the time... only opens when there is excess pressure and hence why they only require a small opening hence geting the whisteling sound when they go off.

the woosh sound is because you need a bigger mouth on the valve to allow the excess air to escape properly.

You will have to take the BOV apart and measure the spring and get one that is similar from mcmaster.com that is lighter. The spring does not have to be the same diameter or height depending on what is on there.

do not run a turbo BOV on a supercharger they work way different from each other.... the BOV is always closed and only releases once its loaded. The BPV on SC's are always open so you dont have boost all the time because the build boost differently... (I hope we know that)

So with that said if you tighten the BPV for the vortech you can make it change sound almost sound like an HKS. I know a few people who have ran BOV on the SC's but most ended up blowing the supercharger up due to the fact that the BOV doesnt release the air the way it's suppose to which still causes surge to the blower.

I hope that helps

FALSE! I have that, and it does next to NOTHING. I ran a week without the filter, and quickly put it on. Barely made any difference.

if you tighten it too much won't it not vent the air enough?

i think some people have buyers remorse that its not a turbo and doesnt sound like a turbo.

Sc'ers definately are just loud and obnoxious.
