Dr. Bonz,

That must have been a typo. At Avalon, they sell for 5400 MSRP.

Do some research into Procharger and you'll find they've got some black marks on their tally sheet. Not to say this is the rule, but everyone might want to do some searching around before buying in, and make damn sure that ironclad support comes as part of the deal. The things I read were lack of customer support. Failure to honor warranty. Substandard turbines (bearings and seals failing). If anyone does buy into this, please share your experiences here.

What's a FMIC?

Does it come with Blow Off Valve?

I agree with Bonz here.. $500 off to be a guinea pig, in what will shortly be a FLOODED forced-induction market for the Z, doesn't seem like the most amazing incentive, albeit nice.

My questions are:

1] Why so expensive ? The Greddy TT will be in this price range.. and its a twin turbo.

2] Is there any noticeable spool lag ?

3] What kind of warranty is provided ?

4] How does it interact with other bolt-ons, such as a Borla or Injen true-dual exhaust ? Grounding kit ? Flywheel ? Pulleys ? Headers ?

Does the 369whp with stock exhaust imply that with a true-dual the numbers will be more like 380whp ?

5] Is Britney really a virgin ?

Thanks in advance,

-slay

Avalon Posted:

"Introductory Pricing: (for a few more weeks only)
MSRP $5400

Post Intro Pricing:
MSRP $5996"

It looks like they are selling to early birds at $5400 and to later buyers at essentially $6k.

Could be a typo but if not, I stand by my post. For only $600 savings, I'll wait and see what pans out.

There is over a extra 100ftlb of TQ at 3500 rpm. Talk about area under the curve. The stock clutch won't like taking that to long. Looks good so far can't wait to see it on a few real world cars.

are you sure? I think it's like this (from top to bottom)"

S/C TQ
S/C HP
Stock TQ
STock HP

You have more torque on the low end and at around 5200~ rpm, the hp take over and keeps going while torque goes down.

All I can say is that the smell of a burnt CLUTCH!!!

Will it hold up to the pwr..
I know once you jump that much in HP your asking for trouble

If your going to do the mod I would definatly consider upgrading it.

Default I'm excited

[erection_semi]

Fitting the procharger on the coupe looks doable. I would hate to spend much more to make it fit.

So what do the ATI reps on this forum think about the coupe?

Depends on where you are going top to bottom from, heh. At the redline, the S/C HP is the top one and the Stock TQ is the bottom one. Last night, I was up toooooo late and just didn't look at the graph right cause I should have been sleep, lol.

BTW, what happened to around $4000??? Also, I guess the Injen or AEM CAIs will not be needed if you plan on purchasing this kit. Nice.

Those prices are crazy...

For a supercharger to cost 6K is rediculous.

Plus ATI said it should cost about 4100 not 6K and I talked to them yesturday, if they do charge 6K it is just plain rip off.

I'd get the stillen then.

Agreed. Procharger's got a good name, and good results... but $6k is way too much.

Damn, the power gain sounds great, but that price......

99AllTurbo: Honey I'm gonna buy a s/c for the Z
Wife: How much?
99AllTurbo: 6 g's
*99AllTurbo gets kicked in da nutz**
99AllTurbo: (in a high pitched voice) I didn't need it anyways.

That sucks. I need to win the lotto.

well all dyno graphs cross at 5250 rpm due to the torque/hp formula, so the top "x" is one graph(sc) and the bottom is stock.

Is this using greddy emanage or what? How do you control the boost? Why so vague on the specifics?

Default Clarity for thoise with questions

First of all the manufacturer MSRP is $5400.00 right now and then going to $5900.00

That price includes the charger, the new fuel pump, fuel managment system ( which can control boost), front mounted intercooler, intake, hoses, clamps etc.

This is a 100% full kit. The kit has been on a car for a while now and tested. JIC has the car now and has been pushing it to the limits.

The introductory price is $5400.00. After the intial production runs, the price will go to the $5900.00 price.

We have sold two and doing the installs as soon as they arrive. Install and tuning time is about 10 hours (estimated).

The one car done has been heavilly hammered on and no clutch or tranny problems noted to date.

Once I get a kit in I have have alot more specifics

Regards

I figure that for 10 hours at anywhere from 50-70$ an hour at least 600.
