Default Turbonetics Water Cooling... Results?

How have peoples turbo's been holding up since Turbonetics sent out the liquid cooling modification?

Has the issue of failing seals been solved?

I don't think there's enough time passed since they sent out new turbos to answer that question.

Besides, I don't think it will fix 100% of the issues.

It is a GTK850 with a smaller F1-65 turbine wheel and .81ar T4 turbine housing with 3" outlet. And yep, it's water cooled. The GTK turbos normally aren't but it was a custom option.

Lately we have seen some good results however I have had no problems with my dry setup. Our other Z just did the wet set up and I will soon do the same and see if I had any coking on my bearing housing. One thing I did find is very little coking using Motul full synthetic. Larry on your kit are the bearing housings wet also?

Interesting thread, I have been wondering about this also. I bought a used TN kit, with a new turbo, off a member on here - and it came with the watercooled section. I do have to contact turbonetics though to get the lines. Which bring up a question,

Where are people tapping into for the water lines?

I had the water-cooled turbine installed the second time around but the thing is I never had any issues with the first housing which wasn't water-cooled at all.

I have never experienced any of these turbo-related problems at all and I am very happy with both housings / systems.

Depending on the weather, ofcourse, when it is cold, i.e. 48 degrees F, under relatively high load, it will be around 9.8. I'm pretty-sure if I put the pedal all the way to the floor, it will reach 10s.

When it is around 70-80 degrees, it will vary around 7-8 psi or so.
