Default JWT TT owners w/ Oil spacer

With the JWT Oil spacer it says that now we can put in 6qt of oil. However i am afraid of getting the smoking issue with to much oil. Normally how much oil do you put in? Has anyone had the smoking issue with 6qts of oil? Looking at the dipstick, how do you judge what is full and what is consider low? Is the bottom of the hash mark on the dipstick, would that consider to be high?

Thanks!!

No problem like that with pan spacers, as the extra capacity is below the stock dipstick level and when you fill to the stock "full" mark on the dip stick, you just have an extra qt. in the pan below the normal level. There shouldnt' be anything effected as the oil level remains the same as stock.

middle hash marks on the dipstick would be fine. even on the Low mark on th dipstick, you'll still have close to 5 quarts of oil. You'd have to drop way below the hash marks to run into any issues.

I think the smoking issue will have some relation to the oil return line, block or pan. I use 6 qts every time and have not had any smoking issues with test pipes.

I have always put in 6 qts, no problems here at all, with test pipes as well.

I was curious about the oil return line, but maybe that is only with the APS system and not the JWT TT oil spacer. I didn't imagine seeing an issue with putting 6qts in, but I was just curious if anymore experienced the smoking issue more then anything.

Thanks for all the replies.

So would the middle hash mark on the dipstick be the marker??

i usually only fill about 5.5 qts and it puts the oil level right in the middle of my dipstick.

That you will have to just add and check to see how much extra oil will be needed.

I have the AAM spacer. Has anyone actually checked to see if the JWT and AAM spacers truly add 1Qt more capacity. I had heard that it is not a full quart, but closer to around .6 or .75 Qts.
