Vortech SC, bypass valve not functioning?

?I had the "jet sound" with headers and SSV. Now it's more like air being released from an air compressor

Have no idea. When mine went bad it stopped working completely. I also noticed that it sounds way different depending on the way the outlet valve is pointed. If it's pointed towards the center of the car it's a lot quieter than when it's facing out towards the passenger side front tire
