Default JWT TT exhaust opinion

Alrighty so I could use some advice. I currently have a true dual exhaust 2.'5 with bends that limit it to 2.25 essentially. I had that setup for the vortech SC I had before. Since then I had a full motor build and JWT added. but funds didnt allow for another exhaust at the time lol. Well I'm ready to move on it though. I have a local shop that is loooking to do a 3" mandrel bent exhaust system and an X pipe . MY question is, is the X pipe recommended? he said the best way to explain it is that when one side is pushing air faster then the other it will create a vacuum effect and help suck more air out.

So will an X pipe benefit my car? I'm confused on that because I see it being more cramped in that point.

Whats the most efficient way to set this up?

Cars sitting at low boost aorund mid 530 rwhp for now. PLan on going into high boost later in the summer. Thanks guys

I'd lose the x-pipe for max power.

after most all of the exhaust manufacturers copied my original design, the X pipe WILL gain more power! jim wolf tested my exhaust himself and gave it a +5hp and -20trq prediction going from an injen true dual to my 3" dual/Xpipe set up. gain was +35hp and +40 trq. how the hell do you gain more torque from a larger exhaust!?!?
the theory is very easy. i hammered this into peoples heads awhile back and guess a refresh is in order. ofcourse the x-pipe needs to be built correctly and be larger threw the center than the dia. of the pipes leading into it. not much though. how many times does your motor fire at the same time? exactly none! so only one exhaust pulse at a time will be going through it. think of your exhaust valves- what area do they take up? and you think a 4" dia tube at the cross section of an x-pipe will not flow as much? hmmm. i have had arguements that turbos do not work the same as n/a motors and the output after the turbo will be more linear rather than pulse to reap the benefits of the x-pipe. why then after independant testing would the motors be making more hp AND torque?
the firing order of the VQ35 is the key. the back and forth firing order of the VQ35 makes the x-pipe work. in the beginning, stillen knew this and borla carried it over from the domestic world, i took it to a hand made x-pipe that would outflow the others. and it did. quite a few others out there have my exhaust, and the note from it is intoxicating!!

And keep the x-pipe

dual 3" in and dual 3" out. an exhaust shop will have the expander needed to bump the center to 3.5-4" then weld the halves together. they are not super cheap to make by hand though, when i was making my exhausts the X pipe section alone on my exhausts cost me close to $300 to make!! burns stainless will make ya one for $600+, lol.

here is a pic of my exhaust with the X-pipe

and then the fabbed up halves before the centers were bumped and then both welded together. to make one custom would go quick, it just took me awhile as everyone had to be exact bends, angles, and length everytime. lots of fitting time to do that and molds they had to fit perfect in before welding.

there are other designs out there, but this is as good as it gets!!

the flanges are 2.5" then goes to 3" within 1". had to do it that way so it would fit all downpipes and turbo kits. was just trying to show the X-pipe and where it sat on mine. i am no longer making these and havn't for about a year. with the esculating price of s.s. and probs with the guys i had building them for me, profit was getting thin and put focus back into my other biz.
