Default HKS GT Supercharger released!!

Ok, so I talked to 2 pro dealers today.

HKSUSA has released the gt supercharger, however I seem to be assed out of the equation as I am a revup g35 coupe.

Complete Kit: Has been carb approved, but will only fit non revup g35 coupes and 350z's

Pro Kit: Not carb approved--special order from Japan--Revup engines--bolt on for 350z. G35 coupes however are rumoured to not be able to fit the gt supercharger due to clearance issues.

This really sucks, as I wanted to get the pro kit, but I'm not sure if it would be cost effective to make custom parts to get it to fit.

Does anyone know why the kit would fit a revup 350z, but not a revup g35 coupe?

until I see otherwise . The HKS SC kit will be looked at in my eyes as a Stillen type kit . A ton of money for little gain . It will have it good points , Im sure . But for the cost of it......your money can be spent wisely else where .

the pro kit looks promising at 11 psi with the right supporting mods--although it will be $$ to get everything up and running right.

dunno, what I'm gonna do--was wanting to go s/c, but thinking about tt on stock block.

I'm leaning towards Vortech at this point, anyone know if they got their qc back in order?

As far as the HKS SC, I've never been a big fan of them and think they're not good power/$. I can see them being popular for the cali guys though.

Yeah I wish greddy or JWT will get their kit CARB approved...HKS looks nice but the #'s per $ are not that great.

How will it differ from the previous?
Are they upgrading injectors, or just sticking in 2 extra ones?
Will the FMIC be larger then the palm of my hand?
What are the power gains for this one?

Because the cost of the two units are so similar right . People like you need to steer clear of the FI forum and spread you incompetence somewhere else.

Good luck,
Thats great. I'm not sure why you felt the need to mention it since no where in the original post did it even mention anything about turbocharging. You're input in this thread has been outstanding and I look forward to many more informative posts in the FI from you.

regards

Looking forward to your results. I heard the kit is on your car. Very interested to see what this puts down. I also heard GTM is making some custom pulleys for the HKS SC--which look promising.

I am currently talking with Sam about ordering a revup kit from japan and doing some custom work to make it fit my revup g coupe.

Yeah my car is the guinea pig for the custom pulley LOL
SC is on, tranny is done and they are currently machining the pulley. Last time I spoke with Sam he was waiting on my Cosworth plenum and if that gets in soon it might be all done by the end of the week. Getting excited

That would be sweet if he can mod one for your ride as well=)
