HAHA.. Marble.. I saw your car on Saturday when I was dropping my car off at GTM for HKS Supercharger also.. Sam said he was getting parts all together from HKS today... So.. Hopefully it's there.. And finished by Saturday this week.. I cannot wait til pick up the car..!!! I think we got same set up.. Did you upgrade to Vpro?? Any exhaust?? Cause I got Pulley upgrade w/ HKS Hi-power exhaust, Valve Body Upgrade(Auto), and Think that's it.. What number are you expecting to get?? And what did you get on your package??

 

^^sweet. U guys post up ur results! Suks I gotta wait for the revup kit from Japan but at least GTM will have installed a few of the these puppies with the custom pulleys, so things will hopefully go smoothly for me when my parts come in.

hji1945, are you opting for the 12 lb pulley? Did you upgrade to vpro?

Does the installed price on GTM's website include any fine tuning of the EM that comes with the HKS kit? I understand that the EM comes pre-tuned for the car.

 

Depends which package you are looking at, there are usually 2, one with, and one without dyno tuning.

Sam tells me GTM has 4 upcoming HKS GT nonrevup installs all this week! U guys must be busy! Looking forward to these builds to give a better idea of what my setup should be with the revup kit.

 

Is the turn around time for the install really only 1 week? Hmmm...

Also...can anyone explain how just having 2 525cc injectors with the kit works?

George- Do you know if the EM that comes with the kit is capable of displaying info onto an FCon Navigator or into a composite connetion to a nav headunit like the Fcon IS does?

Wow Marble.. You are getting way more stuff than I am.. I know I got upgraded Pulley but have no idea what.. HAHA.. And I am just going with IS.. And just valve Body Upgrade.. So.. Your car's gonna push way more than mine I am sure...

I just trusted Sam I guess.. First I wanted JWT TT.. But.. TT being illegal and all in CA and I get a lot of ticket in my town already.. So.. Decided to stay legal..

And.. EvolutionGSR.. I have know idea about the kit at all.. I researched a lot about JWT but nothing about the HKS.. When I went to GTM to put down money I was still thinking about TT.. And I changed my mind there..(More cause of my GF anyway..).. So..

It's only been 2 days without the car.. And I already cannot wait for it.. How could you wait a month? Dang.. I actually just bought used 05 350z just to put FI and mod it.. I had 03 350z before.. And I traded in for G35 Coupe.. And now I have G35S 07'.. And 350z is for my GF/My play around car.. Hopefully It turns out nice and everything I wanted to be..

I actually saw Marble's car there last weekend, Supercharger looked nice in engine bay.. But I couldn't hear it cause wasn't done..

Anyway.. I am super excited and cannot wait to pick up my car..!!!!!!!

 

It's going to be nice to see the kit on one car basically out of the box (hji1945) and another with ems and fuel fuel upgrades (marble). This way Sam will be better able to facilitate my supplemental kit and any recommendations on potential futher stage upgrades for my revup setup. So I guess there is always a plus to waiting.

 

Did you go with any form of monitoring and what did you go with?

 

Yeah mine is a 2 part build. We are trying for 400whp on stock block. Next winter Im sending the car back for the bottom end, cams and other goodies to try to see what #'s can be hit. Waiting for the car hasnt been as painful as I could be. Right now its still snowing randomly so I wouldnt be driving it anyways. When the weather gets nicer not having the car will start sucking more LOL

 

I was thinking of getting the vortech kit in a month or so, but mabe this will take its place. Interested in seeing the dyno results from everyones cars.

I'm following this thread because I hope for you to have my car by then end of the year installing either an HKS or vortech. Vortech claims higher numbers than the HKS does, but I just want to know why you think the HKS is better. I know you guys are working on pulling more power out of the HKS with some custom pullies. Do you guys have estimates on how much as far as torque and Hp? Also, I understand you're doing a 11psi pully for one of the posters here. Are you working on something a lil more conservative also like a 9psi?

Me too, why is HKS better. It is more money and less horespower. I will most likely go vortech since you can get a tuner kit.
