Its more money because it has better components and EMS than a Vortech kit, I also like the design and construction much better, overall fitment, and quality of the kit.

HKS has always been known for putting out top notch stuff, you just have to pay for it....

Only thing I would change is the injector configuration, the reason they use auxiliary injectors is for the CARB approval. I would just upgrade your injectors and not use the auxiliary ones provided, but thats just ME.

Again the power is lower because of CARB, just change the pulley and you will be making more power than a Vortech kit.

Only time will tell how this kit preforms.

We'll see what happens

Very much looking forward, not only to my revup kit, but to see how the many kits that are being installed on vehicles at GTM, including a fx perform, but all non-revups so I hear.

I'm definetly upgrading to a smaller pullley and possibly injectors/fuel system depending on Sam's results with the current kits being built and his recommendation for my setup.

I'm pretty sure the kit will be able to put down ~400whp with upgraded injectors, vpro, and a 12 lb smaller pulley, with quieter and more efficient operation than the Vortech, but only time will tell

Currently we are at 365 RWHP & 340 torque @ 9 psi keep in mind this car is an automatic car, so if you add the 10 % drivetrain loss for an auto this kit is doing over 400 RWHP on 9 psi .
not bad at all .we will have a full product announcement once we finished testing the other three cars with the HKS supercharger with different setup and stages ,there will be plenty info ,pics and dyno sheets .

stay tuned

Sam

Nice numbers. Is this with the kit's injectors or with injectors replaced in the engine? Damn I want this kit.

Man, this might be enough to make me jump off the NA ship and into the FI waters.

I'm not in any need of big hp numbers, and the power band of the last HKS kit was enticing to me. If this one will hit 360whp, that's more than plenty for my goals, and the base kit with some cams might be right in line with what I want.

I know this might be a strange question, but does anyone know the weight of this kit?

I have my car for track fun, and light weight is a priority for me over big power. I've never been to interested in the FI options becasue they all weigh around 100lbs or more for the kit and additional parts (intercooler, piping, etc..) The rotrex chargers were always very light (The C30 was only 12 lbs dry), and this was a considerable factor to me.

Hey Will,

Long time no talk, hope all is well. Another benefit of this kit is that all the brackets are made out of cast aluminum, therefore this kit should also be the lightest on the market, Although I have no weighed it.

For a track car, SC is the way to go, you more than anyone knows how important a liner power band it, and 360-380 rwhp on a SC car should provide you a long life out of your stock block.

Cams and a standalone would compliment this kit nicely

Hi George,

Thanks for such a quick response. Things are well, thanks for asking!

I am interested in this kit, and while I've been holding out for a build with your 3.8L stroker and keeping things NA, this HKS looks tempting.

If you guys do have a chance to weigh the kit, please post up the numbers. I would bet there are a few others like me who would be interested in how this kit weighs against other options for similar hp levels. Not to mention, the absence of traditional SC whine is a nice bonus.

I'm looking forward to pics and videos of the results,

Will

Just got back from GTM.. Actually I couldn't pick my car up today cause of Transmission Issue.. My car had everything out of the box with stock Pulley and it was making 308HP.. Car felt nice.. But transmission was acting wierd after we had dinner.. So we just took it back to Sam.. And I just gonna leave it there until they get smaller pulley to put it in.. Anyway.. Car sounds really nice.. Really quiet actually.. All I hear is my exhaust(HKS).. I love it.. I cannot wait til I get new pulley..!!!

Please keep this thread On topic, your question(s) have been answered many times in the F/I section, please search and you will find your answers.

I'm hoping HKS delivers my revup kit to GTM earlier than expected--wishful thinking

Did you happen to notice if the spooling sound is loud outside like the vortech in low rpms? Or if the bypass valve is loud outside the car? A stealthy setup would be nice to avoid problems.
