What engine management? HKS bought a couple of our 350z knock controllers a few years ago.

The earlymodels should be coming out with the F-Con SZ, and then later upgrade to the iS, but i think the might just skip the SZ altogether.

Hey! Whatever happened to the 6495 price tag?

hopupracing is pricing it from 8700 reduced to 7800.
I see GTM has it up for 6495. Do they do any special deals?

Anybody know what the actual launch price was in the end?

I don't know... the FCON IS isn't cheap. I'd almost rather just spend slightly more and get an VPRO.

HKS is strict about the prices vendors can advertise their SC. I heard they only allow pricing to be 5% above or belove MSRP. I believe $6495 is the MSRP for the complete kit (non-revup). The special order pro kit from Japan may be more ~7000.

Marble,

What custom GTM pulley are you using (9 or 11?) Did you drive or ship your car to GTM?

The one on their website is just the GT full kit. So i think their markup is a bit steep.
Also, i'm not sure about the whole 5% thing. I've seen all their other kits sold amongst websites varying from 15-20% less than MSRP, and i can't understand why they would only keep an eye on there SC kit. Give it a couple of months and i'm sure they'll come down in price.

Hey Marble, besides HKSUSA's president's G and the GT channel Z, you're gonna be one of the only Z's with the GT charger on, and you're gonna be the first with a 11lb pulley!

I pulled the trigger today and requested that Sam order me the revup kit from Japan and he will be making a supplemental kit to enable a trouble free installation for my revup g coupe.

If everything goes as planned, GRD will do the install and I'll be installing a HKS AFK, with the possbility of getting the HKS Camp2 in the future.

The em will be fcon-is, but in the future I may upgrade to the vpro.

My goal is reliable ~375-400whp. I'm hoping the GTM 9 lb pulley and my supporting mods (cos plenum, Nismo Headers, PE HFC's, Amuse Exhaust) can accomplish this, if not I'll likely try the 11 lb pulley. I'm going to opt for a Fluidampr crank pulley.

Of course I'll be paying much attention to your setup Marble! Please keep us informed. I hear the pulleys are done.

Well someone has to try it 1st and I feel GTM is up to the task. I have been excited about this kit for a long time, more so now that it seems the whp goals I would like are within reach. Its going to be a 2 part build still. Once this is all done I will run the car till the weather turns, then off to GTM for the bottom end, cams and other goodies in time for next summer.

Pulley should be in Monday. Right now they have the stock pulley on so we will see what this makes before and after Im hoping. Sam mentioned he is taking lots of pics and GTM will post a writeup once its all done....

Things have been going smooth so far, your in good hands with your build. It will be sweet to rock a kit on your G before other can=) Do you have the amuse exhaust already?

Sounds awesome! I'm sure you'll have a great build when it's all said and done. Did u get the cos yet?

I dont have plans for a built engine as of yet, I don't want to push it; I might opt for the 9 lb pulley. I'd be happy with 375 whp reliable.

What are your power goals?

yes, I have ther amuse exhaust on :

No the damn Cosworth isnt here yet, they are taking forever to come in Power goals are to get over 400whp on stock block then after that we will see. HKS has one making close to 500whp on a built engine.

Love the Amuse exhaust, I have the same. Do you have the Y pipe as well? I keep thinking about the Ti headers but they are spendy.

Any updates bro?

I use the tanabe y pipe b/c I wanted flex sections--I have yet to see a titanium y pipe with flex sections. If u get titan headers then u r truly a baller --over 5k for sure (top secret, etc)

The Cos plenum isn't that impressive at all unless you are running really high boost.

Those Ti headers are sexy for sure, will have to see if I have that much money when its time to replace the stock ones. I really like the the Cosworths looks as much as its funtionality, plus I have been wanting to get my hands on one since the 1st SEMA pics LOL

lol, ur avatar made me laugh.

Well, the non-revup kit is installed on Marble's car (from what I hear), I believe GTM is waiting on the cos plenum, and the custom 12 lb pulley. Hopefully, results will be posted when they are available. I also am very excited to see how the SC performs

I was told the revup kit would take 4-6 weeks to arrive from Japan and to expect at least another 1-2 weeks of R&D to make the supplemental kit fit my G coupe, although the extent of modification to the bracket/pipes is unknown at this time as a revup kit has not been test fitted on a G coupe. So Hopefully everything can be installed, tuned, and ready within 90 days or so. Hopefully I can achieve my power goal on the GTM 9 lb pulley.

I did hear that GTM sold a few more of the non-revup complete kit install packages, so hopefully Marble and some others will soon have results they can post
