right back at you sharif, thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. your right, without the donar, i would probably stuck with running a vortech on a built motor. not that its a bad thing, but i wanted a bit more if were to getting a built motor installed. you and sandy have been so easy to work with, its left me with a peace of mind.

I am suprised that smiley has not burned a permanent image on your screen since you use it in every thread you go in Jay.

The car looks 10x better with them off!

Going against my instincts and blindly following the tuners suggestions, I let him tune it to his whim. Sadly, another member who had his procharger tuned by the same person, just recently his blew motor too. Thankfully the tuner is no longer in the modification business.

Lesson learned, make sure you make the extra effort to get a great tune. If you have to drive for 10 hours to go to a reputable shop with lots of experience, DO IT. Also pay the extra money for a good EMS, quality fuel components, reliability and driveability depend on it. In the end, you got to pay to play and I am about to pay up.
LOL, you didnt have to pay me to push it at least! You owe me a ride!!!

Man that sucks. I'm hoping to get a vortech this coming winter and strap it on so hopefully I won't have any problems. I think I'm going to start out with the stock FMU and just run the vortech setup as it is from vortech. At least to start out, . I just want some more power but to stay conservative.

just dont take it to a shitty tuner like i did. 3 cars from the same shop, which is closed down now, recently all blew motors. doesnt matter what kind of F/I you have if you tune is crap.

sucks NEXX. Good luck with everything. DFW huh? SGP is only 4 hours from you. Finding a tuner close by shouldn't have been an issue. Live n learn I guess. Look at it this way...at least you have an excuse to build the motor now. lol.

its already built and installed along with the twins like sharif posted. i was lucky enough to get a great deal on a donar motor and the twins. cant wait to have it finished. it was a good excuse to go all the way this time. and yes, if i had to do it all over, obviously i would have gone to a different tuner. i wanted to fly someone in and get group tune but getting people in texas to do that is impossible.
