Default How much should whp should i expect?

Im going to be getting my car tuned soon and was just wondering how much power i should expect from pump gas heres my setup:

CP 8.5:1 PISTONS
EAGLE RODS
HKS HEADGASKET
ARP L19 HEADSTUDS
AAM FUEL RETURN
DEASTCHWERKS 600CC INJECTORS
WALBRO 255 FUEL PUMP
AAM 3" TD EXHAUST
TURBOXS UTEC
GREDDY TWIN TURBO

i was hoping to break 500whp on pump gas and a little more on 100 octane. are these realistic goals or am i being a little too optimistic.

With no ported heads and no cams, at 15psi you will be around 520whp and 17psi 100 octance you might hit 550whp, depends how aggressive your tune is.

But with that setup under 17psi, that car will make <550whp.

i was hoping for around 520 on pump thats my goal on a conservative tune on 92 octane because the car is going to have to run on CA **** 91 octane soon. the pump gas tune is more important to me the 100 octane is the supra killer map ;-). anyhow thanks dilsh for the hks hg that i bought from you a while back. so far its holding up with no leaks. i made sure to put some copper spray on gasket to make extra sure.

Depends on what dyno. With ZERO headwork and stock revup cams, while still using the greddy downpipes, I managed 536rwhp at 15psi on a DD.

I can't say that I completely blame you. Look at all the e-recognition you can get. You could possibly get rolodexed one day, in another forum battle.

One of the questions I have for new built engine owners is why choose the utec still? There have been some pretty impressive advancements in the VQ community regarding newer ("better" in some cases one would assume).

Cost.

It's still the best bang for the buck in a piggyback that I'm aware of.

I completely understand that. For me, I couldn't afford a built motor the way I wanted so I sprung for a Haltech to potentially help the longevity of my stock setup.

from what i understand you should be able to get close to 500whp on a DD with like 15psi, built shortblock and greddy twins. Like others said it depends on the tuner and how aggressive the tune is. you should deffinitely be over the 500 mark on a DJ though i would think

Sounds good, but I think either could be tuned for conservative safety. With the haltech you could probably just pull more power out of the tune while remaining "conservative".
