Looking for Oil Catch Can for my Vortech.....oil in ic pipes
#22
I had the Helix catch can mounted behind my SSV with the Vortech and in between the radiator and motor with the Greddy kit. Taking off that charge pipe with a Koyo radiator is even worse

what im saying about the 4 hoses is that it may effectively short circuit the motor out the flow path. Dont know the exact words to use, im not a ME or fluid dynamics person. Get the idea though?
The pcv may be allowed to suck air directly from the intake and no longer through the crankcase. Thats not how the original system worked.
under light throttle:
Air comes in the intake, travels through the hose that connects the intake to the lg valve cover. From the left hand valve cover it looks like it goes through the crank case to rh valve cover. It then exits the rh valve cover into the PCV which lets the air flow into the upper plenum. The valve covers are also connected by a hose as well.
under heavy throttle:
oil comes out the intake hose from the lh cover into the intake. Everything else is the same essentially.

I honestly dont think its my seal. After 6k miles youd assume some blowby to happen. The amount of oil wasnt that much. once i get the catch tanks installed, if i see more oil ill contact vortech. Im not too worried....got 4yrs left on my warranty with them.

not to be a hater, but thats not properly installed in my opinion. What are you going to do when you accumulate oil into the catch can a take a hard left turn and all the oil sloshes back to the in and out lines?
also, it wont solve the blow by issue into your intake. See my pic and description above about what happens under boost.
