As most of you know, my new vortech blower just took a cr@p with less than 1000 miles on the blower in 2 weeks. I unhooked the cog belt and it sounds like another bearing issue where the blades are rubbing the housing.
What I needed to know is if its really bad to drive the car N/A with the unhooked cog belt with the vortech Utec tune. I drove it 50 miles today and kept it under 4000 rpms and it seemed fine. I wont be near GTM for another week because im away on business with my car. Is this really dangerous? I understand it will run rich but when I keep the RPMs low my wideband gauge shows my AFR inbetween 14-15 as before with the vortech hooked on. What do you guys think? I just need it to last me another week....

yea that was what I was thinking..... I got an opinion that it will run so rich that it will contaminate the oil and such? I didnt think it would be a problem unless I hit around 4000 rpms where the vortech would have been boosting.

+1
You should be fine.
like i said in the other post, if your injectors are scaled properly you should run exact same as a stock car would. not sure why people would think you would run rich bc you never leave the 0% load column.
i drove to arizona once (from portland oregon) when i had my procharger, and snapped a belt when i was there. it was a fri night it happened also and anyone stocking one from arizona to portland were all closed for the weekend. i undid the intake pipe, made a make shift filter in the auto parts store parking lot, and drove the 1600 miles back like that with no probs at all. new belt was sitting on my doorstep when i got home!
