More boost = more stress on the engine. Higher chance of knock because of the increased heat which can lead to engine failure. 400whp @ 12psi is worse the 400whp @ 7psi.

Meth is guaranteed power increase at same boost level and will actually be safe if not safer for your engine at your current settings. I've seen gains of almost 100whp with just Meth injection.

test pipes, motordyne spacer, and a better ems with a good tune should get you 400whp.

 

30whp @ this level wont feed the addiction. I wouldnt even spend the $$$$ for those gains on a stock motor.

 

I was in the same boat not to long ago. I too have a stock motor with a JWT 530 kit. I added test pipes and the plenum spacer along with retune and was able to bring it up to ~380 rwhp at 7 psi. A/F is in the low 10s, so it's conservative. But keep in mind that you're going to run out of injector at around the 400 rwhp. Easy and cheap solution is to add the VK56 410 injectors and bump the boost to 8-9 psi with a meth kit. That should net you about 420 rwhp. That's my plan anyway. Beyond that HP level....I would look to build the bottom end.

BTW, while on the subject, whats the most cost effective meth kit to buy?
