have you checked your dipstick or the oil filler cap? If you see somethings that looks like chocolate pudding its a blown head gasket. It's really hard to miss a blown head gasket. If it's just low coolant, it might just be something with your cooling system.

Another way to check for a blown HG is , while your car is at warm running temp, open the radiator cap while its running. the coolant should just flow right through but if it starts shooting up or bubbling bad, then all the pressure from the cylinders is gettin through the coolant lines.

wow. unfortunatly, this is not a blown headgasket. unless the coolant has come spurting out the top and is covering the engine bay, its mearly heatcyling.

unfortunately? lol your an *** hole yet again weqster.... anyways, hopefully my 02 just went out due to not having any cats. I pulled a plug from each bank and took a look inside and they both seem fine. Ill be doing some more investigating.

Thanks for the help and suggestions guys.

One thing u need to understand is that the beginning of a blown headgasket on our setups will:

* Never mix oil and water
* Never mix water and oil
* Will never smell sweat from the exhaust

The head gasket breach will most likely only occour under cerain amount of boost. The only signs will be

* Airpockets forming in the cooling system
* Radiator overflow, overflowing
* Radiator overflow, looking like a murcky fizzy drink
* Black carbon particals making there way into the cooling system

Depending on how bad, u can have one of more of these problems. And depending on how bad, u could go days without overheating. So im just re-iterating the point, all tradiational head gasket diagnosis does not apply, 99% of the time. Hell i dont think ive ever heard of a VQ ever blowing a head gasket in the tradiational way.

Wegster.....whats your opinion on filling the overflow tank 1/2 full on the APS system. Or do you think it should be empty?

I know you asked wegster, but imo after owning that kit, I'd leave it either totally empty, or damn near empty. Because once your coolant gets hot, it won't take much to fill up that tiny little container that APS gives you, and it will end up all over your engine bay. Then you'll think you have a problem when you really don't.

I would just fill it past the hose on the bottom of the tank so it doesn't get to suck in any air. That usually stops it from over flowing.
