Default Catch can question

I just got my Ebay catch can (i know ebay, lol) and when I installed it I noticed that I can hear a hiss (leaking air) noise on top.

It seems to not affect the idle and everything seems normal except the hissing. I know there are catch cans with a filter on top and that lets air in/out so should I be worried about the air leak?

Here's what it looks like. I got it bc the dimensions fit in the space between the power steering fluid and coolant tank.

I got the same one, but modified it for a project. Not in my car yet so not tested. You may want to take a look inside and clean it out if you haven't as mine was filthy with all sorts of metal and paint debris inside. I also added a steel mesh to trap oil since there is no deflector inside. The fit for the top two ports is less than perfect and sealant is used. I removed their stuff and added my own silicone sealant. The good news is that the body looks like cast aluminum and the fittings on the side and bottom look decent.

I'd love to see a pic of where you installed it. It is compact, but I still can't find space (in my JWT TT setup).

I did what rcdash suggested and took the fittings apart and used new sealant and added a steal mesh to trap the oil. I didn't hear the hissing this morning but I could be wrong bc my bpv is soo loud at start up.

Here's the pix and as u can see in the last picture u don't really notice it unless u are looking for it. It sort of blends in with the engine.
