wont be too long chris, and of course, no hard feelings towards any shop with a good reputation.
AND NO, despite what anyone says, we are not going out of business and not moving!!! we have PLENTY of cars in here, PLENTY of work to do, we just dont have the time to post up as much as we used to....

Why were the TN turbos leaking? Something blocked? Oil drain? Crankcase pressure? PCV valve? Might just be a $15 fix.
EDIT: An oil line kinked to one turbo should've resulted only in that turbo leaking...

Raj,
The way i understand it is that the line that comes from the collector to the oil sump pump was kinked. On this kit both turbo drain lines feed into a little collector which then goes to the oil sump pump. By kinking that line this caused a back up and resulted in the turbos not draining oil properly.
Jeremy checked the turbo's w/ the car running and he said oil was pouring out of the front and back sides of the turbos. The seals are done!

I just stopped by "The Factory" after I dropped the family off at Orlando International this morning. I can't believe how many cars Jeremy has in his shop. When you do great work, the word travels fast! anyways, I saw you car there. Nice looking ride.

Thanks Man!
my **** isn't gettin scratched is it?
Hopefully when i come down there i am going to make a vacation out of it and i can meet up w/ all the orlando guys. I have been wanting to check out the car scene down there.
why wouldnt you go with 3" downpipes now? In the near future, you'll prolly want a 3" exhaust (esp if you dont meet your power expectations). Then what? pay to have 3" downpipes made? Do it right the 1st time.

You do realize that downpipes are a bolt on affair that can be done in the driveway right? Anyways being as the 3" down pipes are $800 and a 3" exhaust is about +$1000 i don't feel like ponying up more dough. This **** is costing me enough money right now. Plus it will give me something else to look forward to. I really like the Greddy evo TT so if i need one later on i will get it.
I really don't see why people feel the need to jump to a dual 3" . If you can reach your power goals on 2.5" dual then why bother? My thoughts are if a 800whp supra can get by on a single 4" exhaust then what is the problem with me running dual 2.5" in order to run +600whp. Same thing w/ the hondas, most of those guys run a single 3" pushing 500whp. See where i am going with this?

I don't know how many of you guys were at Zdayz, but if you were i am sure you guys saw a black 06 Z that was SMOKING ITS *** OFF. If you did, then that was my car
. I immediatley knew that i had been pw3nd by my turbonetics turbos. Luckily i was w/ my Drunk for a friend (Jason333) who was a customer of Jeremy Tibbs @Performance Factory and was able to introduce me to him. After talking to JT for a while and getting him drunk on cheap whiskey i decided to let him take my car back w/ him to Orlando to see exactly what the deal was. So after inspecting the turbos jeremy dicovers they are leaking oil from both sides of the turbos. Initially i think this will be a cheap ordeal since they are covered under TN warranty, well boy was i wrong. Instead of going in to get a oil burning issue resolved, i am coming out w/ a whole new setup! Jeremy baited me (this could be a lie
) with the idea of going w/ a built motor since he had a built motor just sitting there for his car before deciding to go another route. After contemplating it i decided to go for it since i would more than likely have to have the motor pulled anyways to fix the turbos and he made the price almost to good to pass up.
The new setup will consist of the following:
SFR TT KIT (TN t3/t4 60-1 turbos)
2.5" down pipes
Tial 38mm wastegates w/ dump tubes
HKS Knock off Exhaust (Ebay special baby!!)
JE Performance Factory Spec Pistons (8.8:1)
Pauter Rods
Arp 1/2" headstuds
HKS headgasket
JWT C8R cams
JWT valve springs
FCON VPRO
HKS EVC6
CJM Stage 1 fuel return
Dwerk 850cc injectors
walboro Fuel pump
I don't want to start projecting what kind of power this thing will make, but i am going to try and take it to the edge (20+psi) on race gas. I am looking for at least 600whp
. Finally i will be able to put these laggy *** turbos to use. Hopefully we will see in the next few weeks

I made 634rwhp at 16psi with the SFR kit. You should be around the same(maybe less) depending on your exhaust setup. I ran 3in dp and 3in exhaust combo. I think you should upgrade to 3in.

well we are definitely more than hanging in there. running a shop isnt easy at all and i have an attitude where i want to take over the world. trying to find the balance that makes me happy is my hardest part.
i had a business proposition that i was offered to expand and improve everything about the shop, but both sides decided to wait. thats about it.
thanks everyone!! still more big things coming out of the shop

would you mind listing your setup? What cams and what octane were you running?

Especially Sweet is the widebody, carbon-fibered Formula D 350Z Roadster.
