As far as my budgeting is concerned, i always set a budget when doing stuff like this. If i went in to this project w/o one i would be flat broke lol . Honestly i wasn't even planning on doing this and just commited to it yesterday. Jeremy made me the proposition and provided prices that were beyond exceptional. It was sort of a deal that was to good to pass up. I just got engaged a couple of weeks and am about to buy a house, i can't go around just throwing money around unless it is needed
And good luck with this...Jeremy is a good guy. Keep us updated.

Nexx insinuated it
Upping the boost without taking all precautions is stupid imho

Any and everyone can give all the opinions they want but Chris has already stated his plans. He has already said that he wants to try it out with his current exhaust and if it does not work out he will then make the necessary changes to reach his goals. I think we should all leave it at that and stop with the It's not like he is the market to buy a new exhaust and he is choosing to buy a 2.5" over a 3" due to cost reasons and its not like his exhaust is going to cause any danger to his car. He has already stated...

You can take any build on this entire site and come up with ways that the owner may have "left more power on the table." To each his own some of us over-build and some of us under-build. There are several different ways to go from point A to B and not all of us take the same route.

Let me ask you a question, if you were to go to your engine builder (in this case I would assume it to be Sharif based on your signature, someone who you trust to do the right thing by you) and you told him that you were looking for a build that would accomplish a certain goal that you had in mind, and he drew up a plan of attack for you. Would you really reply to him with a statement beginning "Well a few guys on the forum said..."?

Chris has already set out a plan for what he and Jeremy have in store for the car. Sure there are things he could have done differently to achieve more power but perhaps that would end up in him spending more than what he wants to spend. His car, his build and his choices.

On a side note: Chris...365lbs x 10 on Wednesday and I'm not talking squats I'm BACK!

My point to you is not about Chris. Chris made his point and I understood...Nexx made his point and I also understood !! This is now beyond Chris and Nexx....Like I said , this is a discussion forum, and your attitude was because Jeremy or Sharif is doing the job its not in out place to discuss this any further. Are you kidding?

Chris brought up an issue that others will want to do in the future to save money...and its only fair to them to make them aware of the Plus and Con's of going this direction.

Should we also not discuss Head studs because JKenefic, GTM and FP is involved?

I think your missing my point about the engine builder comment. It was not meant as a comparison between Jeremy and Sharif this is not at all what this entire topic is about. It was meant to reiterate that you usually will take your vehicle to someone who you trust. With that being said you will listen to whatever recommendations they give you with good faith.

Kwame...lol....You are also missing my point. I am saying that everything is up for discussion not matter who is doing the build...may it be FP, PF, GTM. MRC or who ever ....
I am also saying that this is beyond Chris and Nexx and would be something other could consider but they need to know the pro's and con's.

I see what point you are trying to get across and I said something similar in one of my earlier posts...ANY BUILD has room to be critiqued. It comes down to the matter in which you do so (this comment was not direct to you).

I've given up a LONG time ago trying to give advice to others unless its specifically asked. There is always some sort of circumstances that lead people to make the decisions that they make when they modify their cars. Some plain and simple just don't know any better (I feel this is not the case with Chris), hopefully these people are smart enough to ask for help from those who do have more experience in the area of modifying cars.

I gave my opinion and Chris got personal. I wont go there. I think I am right when pointing out that someone claiming to going big isnt doing so if they are resorting to ebay 2.5" exhaust on otherwise nicely configured setup. That was my main point. I'm sorry if OP took it personally. Budget being the main problem now, in the long run, saving $500 on exhaust is going run a lot more in future considering the fact that you lose value on the used exhaust, having to then have it retuned as well with 3" inch exhaust upgrade.

Chris, if I had to do it all over again, I would do the exact same thing I did with my car. The previous owner just broke everything in for me.

No hard feelings on my side, good luck on the big build.

lol i give up man

I took it personal because of not what you said, but how you said it. Honestly you sound very arrogant and that is one thing i cannot stand as i feel i am a pretty humble person.

I think it will be hilarious to put down some good #'s on my lowly ebay exhaust. I had this same argument w/ people on here when i got my setup installed at forged. I hit 405whp @ only 7.5psi which Sharif stated was a record on his dyno for that amount of boost. To me the exhaust seems to flow fine
