Default Greddy guys, does your boost fall off?

Quick question for anyone with a greddy tt kit. Im running 9psi right now for my high boost setting and it seems that when I do actually get on it, that it only sees 9psi for a split second and jumps down to 7.5psi and holds there then till redline. It doenst matter where I get on it in the rpm range either, 9psi is there for a split second then 7.5psi. On my low boost of 6psi I get on it and it holds 6psi till redline. I though that at this boost level 9psi should stay the whole way to redline, or maybe I am wrong? Some info is good. Thanks

Sounds more like a boost spike, Id say turnt he boost up a psi and see if you hit 8.5 and hold that. But might be deadly on these cars if you spike too high.

i dont think its the boost falling off, i think its the boost spiking. the recirculating wastegate setup on the greddy kit is pretty tight and at a hard angle into a very small diameter section of the downpipe... the gates probably have a hard time doing their job. ya, on the stock greddy downpipe elbows my boost would always spike 1 - 1.5psi higher than my setting when it first hit boost.

Im running kinetix test pipes with injen ses exhaust. But I have the evc6 set to 9 psi not any higher so my spike is actually 9 and then dropping. But I assume its the downpipe/exhaust being to small.

sounds like boost creep.... to me i wouldnt turn up the boost i would se if open up your exhaust flow will cure it maybe you need a better wastegate flapper... comeing from the dsm world we run in to alot of that ... porting the turbo really help out...let us know if it helps

thats not boost creep, boost creep is setting it at 9psi and it climbing upward not coming down. I belive the greddy kit has Tial gates on it so putting in a bigger flapper is out of the questions (its not a mitsu turbo where the wastegates can be changed) its an extral gated setup.

Moron alert !!

JTGLI had agreed to do a pumpkin swap with me way back in May. He canceled 2 different weekends and then I find out he swapped with spnall4 without even calling me, some excuse about his grandmother passing away. I had even purchased the Nismo rear diff cover to go on during the trade.

Ignore this looser. If you read his other posts you'll see just how clueless this dork is.
