After all the burnt coil packs I went through earlier this year (grounding kit seems to have cured that problem, thanks JT ) I'm leery of putting on any kind of spark boosting device, and I'm interested at the same time

Did you identify the root cause of the coil pack failures? You didn't have the HKS unit, did you? Can you share what points you grounded?

I'm considering spark boost to help prevent blow out under high boost with water injection.

Nope, stock ignition with 1 step colder Iridiums. I got this grounding kit:

It's a 6-point kit with various points on the plenum and front plate to various points on the surrounding chassis/body. It helped my charging system IMMENSELY, the car holds voltage steady at least 14V no matter how many accessories I'm running.
