Thumbs up 405RWHP @ 8psi w Vortech 3.12 pulley

Link to full thread....https://my350z.com/forum/mid-atlanti...yno-today.html

Like the title says....I hit 405RWHP on JE Import Performance's DynaPack Dyno. What is the big deal about hitting this 400 that is sooooo different than the rest? I did it with only 8psi and with an under-rated SC not Twin Turbos like most of this crowd and my close friends. I try to be different at all cost. No Volks for me..lol

Yeah we can argue dynoA vs dynoB, but still its nice to see 405RWHP and 318RWTQ on a dyno graph regardless.

Specail thanks to but not limited to:
My wife Caroline, JE Import Performance, ibkarlito, DJParis, Ghost30, AAM, Chris @Elite, Justin@Redline, Vortech, Frank Hill, and my MidA Brothers and Sisters. I have now completed the performance portion of my build and the car is far faster and more powerful than I ever imagined. I just hope I put my knowledge and power obtained for good and not evil...lol

I drive a 2005 G35 6sp MT that is running.
Vortech SC RevUp kit with 3.12 pulley
Unichip piggy back ECU
APS TB Plenum (TENGAI)
MREV2 lower collector
420cc injectors (bb1314 and FT)
TiTech Test Pipes (Chris @ Elite)
Stillen Y Pipe
Stock midpipe and muffler (FTW)
Stock 2006 clutch and flywheel (one of the first FT installs in Daves garage before the shop)

Thanks again for the support and all. My rims will be here around the first of the month...photoshopped rim picture via Justin@ Redline Design look for more work at the FT meet this sunday.

Also much respect for Sentry in leading us to Victory and pushing the SC crowd to its limits...He doesnt know this... but I have read about 90% of all his post (net-stalker)...lol. Because of his (and a few others) trails and errors, willingness to push hard, I made educated decisions and I have a "fairly" (such a relative term) safe car. Consider this my very public thanks and respect props!

kinda strange, i made ~390whp and ~340ftq with a 2.87 pulley 12psi with my old vortech setup. your torque numbers seem low. mine was on a dynojet.

Tq #'s are to low for 12psi what exhaust do you have? I had 308wtq I think on only 8psi when I was procharged. Here is the dyno sheet.

I forgot to add that I have the MREV-2 lower plenum..maybe they hurt us RevUp Boosted guys....maybe I should put the stocker back on and dyno it then.

Nice results for 8psi. With the torque numbers you got, your chances of bening a rod are very slim.

Those are my goals with a turbo though. I konw my torque will be a bit different but that's ok.

Now take it to the track.

but with UTEC & Walbro right? Maybe fuel return systems?

I have the out of the box Vortech Kit...

My point is that ERRRRRRRY one says buy a UTEC/Walbro/Etc... I agree that it is much better overall, but my car runs smooth and I cant justify paying more money for UTEC and Fuel Pump (fuel return) to get less than 5 wheel....

When you go UTEC you lose the SS and FMU....the Unichip came with the new Vortech Kit. The old Vortech kits came with SS boxes. Or maybe the RevUp engines come with Unichip and the non-revups come with SS.

I have the Unichip along with the small inline fuel pump and the FMU that comes with the Vortech kit.

Car is fun and I wont get tired of 400wheel because I only drive my car about 1 day a week, and that is to the store and back. Once I have my Son (due anyday now) the car will drive to meets only...wifes Jetta 2.0T will own me.

plus if you ever saw me drive you would say 400wheel is waaaay tooo much for me....check my sig for stupidness....lol

But isn't that a 3.12 on the norevup cogs? Muzzy will be making at least 1 psi and maybe 2 psi more than the revup cogs which are different when using the same serpentine pulley.

To make a more equal comparison would to be to look at a nonrevup cog setup with the 3.33 serp pulley which makes 8 psi. But then again those were using the ss box so that also would be apples to oranges.

MUZZY also has a secret...he has more than 400 when he taps that spray bottle..lol

Its not a race or claim to fame post/thread.... I just like doing things differently and keeping the car or set up close the tried and tested methods of the vendor..and not us...we all have things we like more than others, so we lean to one side more than others from time to time.

I remember a Kenetics SSV thread vs other plenums that went on for weeks... to each their own.

vortech kit with ss box, fmu, inline fuel pump. stock injectors, no return. stock cats, stock headers. 3.12 pulley gets me to about 8-8.5 psi and its on a dyno dynamics. so its probably a lil bit higher than your dynopack readings.

BUT...........!!!!

i sold the kit. so i have about 240 whp. so, you got me beat. haha.
